Elmwood Institute MLM - My Experiences
#21
That's awesome, so we now can somewhat 'gauge' how we can spend our time with the studies and try to get the better grades we're looking for... Masters and other graduate studies require a higher percentage for passing, it is no longer the easy 70% or lower, you need to shoot for at least the 80% or higher.

Okay so today I received a link to Vitalsource to get an account and a code to my textbook for the first class that I can access for 180 days. Easy breezy. Getting me all my information well before September 1st. I am still in love with the small class size, the incredibly fast communication after acceptance, and the ease of getting "onboarded".

So the class opened at 3am Sunday morning.
First observation is that you get your assignment (in this case read chapter one of the textbook), then there are flashcards for a short review, then there is a subject expertise exam. Each module of the class is locked and you must go in order through the module, so you are unable to pick and chose the order (I always like to do the ones I'm proficient in first and knock those out before moving to others, but will not be able to it seems here).
While there is one final exam that is proctored at the end of this course, the expertise exams are not.

So small update. Started Sept 1st but had several things due for my #1 Master degree (I have delegated this one to #2 status in importance) so didn't hit the ground running on Elmwood.
26 things to turn in for this, counting two research assignments, a handful of "application" submissions that are like essays, and the Final exam (which is the proctored exam).

Starting Friday I began turning in exams and so far (Sunday morning) I have turned in 5 subject examinations and an application submission. So far I have a 96 for the class.
Straightforward, if you know much about business and management you can pop in the exams without really looking at the material. I'm able to do the subject exams one after the other in spare time. They are 25 multiple choice questions.

The first application submission was three sections pertaining to specific business case studies.

Will update when I get to the research project #1 to tell what it is like.

Well…. That’s a lot. At least they give you suggestions. Is this all self directed or are there optional meetings with the instructor?

It's been self directed.

It's a very thorough course so far, but it hasn't been overly taxing. So there's a lot of stuff to do, but it isn't as difficult as say a course I'm taking at Georgia Southern.

I also just got feedback on my first assessment essay I turned in prior to the research paper and he gave ample feedback. I will say it sounded AI generated, but I didn't test that theory.

Just a progress update.
While the course began on the first, I didn't begin to actually work on assignments until the 5th. I've completed 61% of the work in seven days. Will be doing two courses next and then, if not over taxing myself with my other Master degree courseload, I will do three courses the month after.

The subject exams are auto graded, but I have to wait on the written assignments to be graded by the instructor. He also gives long feedback, lol.
