Up to now, the only school accept Level 8 for DBA topup is Westcliff University via UAE partner.

Can you add some more name ?

Hmm, I think you asked me that already, I replied with a few examples... You may want to review post #3 from you and post #4 from me, or even read the entire thread here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Questions

There might be more information on this thread as well: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Evaluation , if you're looking at UK for 'top-up' options, there are ones for the DProf.

Most DProf require a Masters and that's it, but I like to go above and beyond those requirements as the Level 8 gives you more practice for writing a thesis/dissertation.  Here's a DProf: DProf Professional Doctorate | The University of Sunderland

After obtaining a Level 8 diploma and transferring it to The University of Sunderland or another University, does that reduce the time required to complete the DProf? Or, is it still minimum of three years? Are those considered "top-up" options?

I need help with using a online DBA that must be recognized by Hong Kong and/or New Zealand. The cost can be anything lower than 30000USD. I saw many university in the U.S do offer online DBA, but they didn't say they will accept international student. For example, Liberty University.
I did look at the DBA degee in HK, the cost is way too high and the NZ university required me to travel there even though it says it is distance learning.
The problem with Malaysia university, they required me to learn Malay. Which clearly I think i will never pass their language test. With the Philippines university, by looking at the forums, the U.S only recognized the Doctorate degree as a master level, so I don't want to do that. I have look for DBA for months on Internet. But still cant decide which one is right for me

I have also looked at platform like Upgrab, etc. Most of the program offered have been discussed in the fourm, which shows that doesn't get a good review. So I want something that is safe, fully online, no exam and recognized by most wealthy country. Am I asking too much only wanting to pay 30000USD?

Only public university requires Malay. Private does not. You can have a try on INTI online DBA or Manipal GlobalNxt University. I think the price is well below your budget.

For level 7 they could give a clear exit path which university would provide which top up degree, but level 8 there is no such list.

This level 8 diploma is very interesting. They are level 8 according to EQF and MQF or even HKQF (not tested yet),but I think you cannot call yourself as a doctorate.

So why not do the dba directly instead as the coursework stage takes normal one year, actually the same timespan as a level 8 diploma but it is more solid.

On the other hand, I would recommend the OTHM Level 8's, it really depends on the student looking at the Level 8's. Unlike their Level 7 and lower level diplomas... They've not worked out any progression paths for Level 8's yet, thus, they can't recommend you anything... Don't get confused with what Doctoral Level Studies are compared to Doctoral Level Degree! For the cost, ease, speed of finishing the first part of a multi-part series, that's why these Level 8's are there in the first place, to transfer into a doctoral degree (if you can find them, I mentioned US/UK/Canadian options).

Technically, if Sunderland accepts this for the first year transfer, you just need to complete the two years. It'll be a transfer top-up to finish off the remaining two years for the dissertation and research (if any).

Well,I doubt the usefulness of the level 8. Even the universities with OTHM progression and DBA program does not offer clear exit path, everything depends on how you negotiate, which is too uncertain.

This is what I also design my progression path for myself.

Three steps:
1. Level 5 Diploma. Then, use that to top-up to a one year Bachelor (Honours) program. I have finished this one already.
2. Level 7 Diploma. Then, use that to top-up to a dissertation/project only Mater program. I am proceeding here with the Level 7 Diploma.
3. Level 8 Diploma. Then, use that to top-up to a doctorate level program. This part seems to be more uncertain. This will be a case-by-case situation IMO. Individual's past experience plays a vital role. I'll see if there are more options when I reach here.

  1. bjcheung77And below is the resolution I propose, for individuals who have a 'different undergrad/graduate' level of studies, it may go differently.  Another example, someone who wants it the cheapest, easiest, fastest, combo of ROI/Value and they're 'international'.  With Pierpont BOG AAS now accepting international students, it can be done in 2-2.5 years from Associates to Doctorate - Pierpont BOG AAS, ENEB double masters evaluation as RA Bachelors & Grad Cert, OTHM Level 8 UK diploma, lastly ladder to US/UK DBA/DProf.
[/quote]
Very ingenious plan. I have three younger siblings who might benefit from your strategy.  If you don't mind, I have a few questions:
Since some evaluators treat the ENEB as a RA bachelors, why bother with the BOG AAS?
Don't you need a top up MBA before starting the Level 8?
Don't you need 120 ECTS to apply for the top up MBA?
Do US DBA programs accept the Level 8 as transfer credit?
Which Level 8 program(s) do you recommend?
Thank you.
