Signed up for Sophia.org this afternoon
Completed the Visual Communications course in just over 2 hours and Introduction to Information Technology in about 1.5 hours.
I do have a strong background in both fields so I had a bit of an advantage.
Both courses show up in my Credly account. The TEEX ones haven't yet -I believe I'll need to reach to someone there to assist. However I'll complete some more before I make the request.

So I took a break to bang out some of the Sophia GenEd reqs
The Sophia courses with no touchstones or one touchstone usually go quicker. Don't be afraid of touchstones because many can be done quickly.
One productivity trick is committing to doing just 10 minutes a day on college work. Often, you end up working longer than 10 minutes.

Intro to Statistics was brutal; there's a lot of info to cover.
Is there a way to download Sophia course materials for offline review later? I can see this course being super useful as a reference.

For Sophia.org classes, If I recall correctly, the lessons are available for download from PDF file and another format... The only thing is, if there are videos, I don't recall if there is an option for reviewing that later as a download. For reviewing the class material... Have you tried downloading those PDF files for the classes you've taken already?

Nice, I see that PDF link in my 'Intro to Psychology' class.
I was crushing the course until I noticed all the touchstones!
I should have reviewed the syllabus first...No worry, I still have an empty course slot!

You can check here to see how many touchstones there are for each course

I'm on the final touchstone for "Intro to Psychology" I've submitted 2 of 3 touchstones for this course within the last 3 hours.
I can likely finish the third and final within the next hour. [I like to talk and write!]
Is this a problem / error with Sophia?
I was under the impression I could only have 2 touchstones active at any time?
...Or does the '2 touchstone' thing only apply to two different courses?
I.e., any single course, any number of touchstones per course but a LIMIT of 2 courses with any number of active / submitted but ungraded touchstones?

On Sophia, you can only have 2 active courses at a time.

I'm a long time lurker [look at my join date!].
Looking for an undergrad degree as fast as possible as any promotions or moves will likely require at least a BA. I'm a pretty decent writer and relatively quick learner, so I'd prefer to test out of everything as fast as I can. I don't care what the degree is, just need something quickly to tick that box.
Currently I am an IT Manager and am the classic 'Jack of all Trades', with no specialty.
I have a good handle on software automation, software development, GUI design and implementation, Windows System Administration, break fix, planning and implementation, technical documentation, networking, cybersecurity, micro electronics, 3d design / CAD, marketing, product design, digital design...
I'm strong with Python, PowerShell and decent with C, BASH, JavaScript. However, I'm weak in general math - StackOverflow and Google cover me for most of the time!
World religions, western history and politics, global economics, and general biology are areas of interest.
I prefer to work on my own; classroom environments do not work very well for me.

LOL, my JST credits are so old that they aren't even ACE rated!
I suppose I could look into that, however right now a given 3 credit course takes me 2-6 hours, that's less time than it would take to try to resolve the credit issue.
Maybe when I need a break and have some time to kill, I'll look into it again.
BTW: Intro to Relational Databases isn't too hard if you already kind of know SQL. However, there's a lot of cutting / pasting and typing. This is noted in the wiki.

...I lied, Intro to Relational Databases is terrible and many of the questions are supremely out of order, are unnecessarily tricky and purposely obtuse, or require actual Google searches to answer [as the course material doesn't cover the quiz questions].
I'm no SQL / database master, but I've been building, using, modifying, accessing databases for over 15 years and this course is...not helpful. Anyway, the technical side of using PostgreSQL isn't so bad [units 1 and 2] if you are already familiar with SQL and its variants.
Anyway, since this is a zero touchstone course it still worth going through for the 3 credits. That said, many have suggested that the units be completed in the order of 4,5,1,2,3. I'd say that's a valid approach if you are thinking of doing this course.
