Planning way ahead and stuck on psychology licensure
#1
Hi everyone,

I'm really lose on which school I go to. I have accumulated over 140 credits over the years and an AA in general studies. I plan to use Sophia or somewhere to cover anything you suggest as easier outside of a suggest college.

My big thing is I want a school who will lead towards licensure. From what I can tell it means they will arrange where you go for your practicum and all your supervision. I really need that.

Has anyone gone through a college online like this? If you didn't, but you still made it through your master's program and figured out your own internship how did you do it?

Thanks for your help.

@kmao2004, Welcome to the board, that's a good initial post to get the ball rolling and started by asking questions. Having said that, you're not providing any important info that is asked for in the addendum and template linked in post #2. I highly recommend completing both the addendum and template so we can get a bigger and better overall picture of your scenario. We know bits of your info, but not enough to help you out, as state requirements differ and just that basic info is missing in your post...

You need to look into your specific state licensing requirements. Then search for colleges which meet those requirements. It will be different for everyone as every state has their own licensing requirements and requirements do frequently change.

if you have an AA and 140 credits then I doubt sophia is going to be any use at all
you need upper level psychology credits to get a psychology degree

and what kind of license do you want ?

you may need a doctorate

or a masters with lots of other training

https://www.op.nysed.gov/professions/men...quirements

possibly a bachelors with lots of other training

your state will probably be different, but you should check your state's requirements
