I am also curious whether it actually pans out that the BS-CIS and the BSBA-Finance can be combined with only one Capstone. I will be following... I would agree with your assumption about the BS CIS and the BS Data Analytics, that they can't be combined and would be considered two separate degrees. Although, AOS are not listed on the degree, so in essence, both would be a BS. It's definitely worth reaching out to the school to confirm.
As for the BS CIS/BSBA Finance I'm pretty certain it would be the same outcome as what I was told, only switching Accounting for Finance. Both the BSBA and BS require the same Business Capstone, so it wouldn't make sense to require a second capstone. But I'll try and remember to update this post after I have my audit and am certified for graduation.

I applied last year when the BSBA CIS degree was available. I was hoping to get into the BSBA CIS degree but didn't have high hopes. I was put into BS CIS. I wrote back to advising to confirm that there was no way I could get into the Business Adminstration program. This was the response I got.
"The BS CIS is the Business Administration degree with a concentration on Computer Information Systems. The degree code was changed from BSBA to BS within the past year, but it's the same program."
My concern is if I want to apply for a job that has a Business Adminstration degree requirement. I don't imagine anybody has any idea what it says on the degree since this is a fairly recent change.
I'm going to email back and ask about the Data Science program. I'd like to know if it counts as once or two degrees.

@krush, please review post #40. The answer is most likely going to be the same thing, whoever responding to you would indicate exactly that, the degree are not in the same 'school', thus it will be two degrees. You can get a max of two degrees at TESU, you can decide what those two degrees are and then go for a Masters in something different.

I’m currently taking the business capstone course as a dual-degree seeker. I’m enrolled in the BS CIS and BSBA Finance programs (and an ANSNM Biology). I’m going to be very curious what TESU says when I open up this same can of worms at graduation time, since I already earned my first TESU bachelor’s degree 20 years ago. So far, no advisor has said squat about it, let alone when I first enrolled in Jan. 2023.

I surely am curious about your outcome. The BS-CIS and BSBA-Finance is a nice combination of a degree. Please be sure to report back here when you graduate! Thanks.

Adding an update to this post to confirm that I have been certified to graduate in June with: Accounting BSBA, Computer Information Systems BS, Computer Science AS, and Organizational Leadership cert. So, two bachelors degrees instead of one with two concentrations despite the two degrees only being different by the area of study courses and the electives. Same 45 Gen Eds, same 42 Professional Business credits, and same Business Administration Capstone.

Nice update, it's sad they made it that way... there's absolutely no reason for that, a name change shouldn't cause issues...

Luckily for me personally it worked out. I never had any intention on getting a second degree. The original plan was just the one degree with two concentrations. So, I certainly don’t mind having two degrees instead. But I agree that it is unfortunate for those that planned on getting two degrees AND multiple concentrations. Far more difficult to do now.
