Must be a current teacher with daily access to students in order to apply.

Someone who is not a full time k-12 teacher or k-12 staffer is ineligible.

Still.... a good deal if you ARE a teacher.

I saw their EdD program just a few weeks ago, and it is indeed a steal for the price.

Given their numerous different MA/MEd options (Elementary Ed, Special Education, etc.), it'd be great if they would consider branching out as well with their EdD program offerings. Not everyone necessarily wants to push towards being a dean, deputy head, or principal. Being able to do an educational doctorate in a slightly different field of study (say, Special Education or Second Language Teaching) could help them to capture more students and make their offerings even more enticing.

Having said so, Acacia is definitely in my bookmarks as an option for the future.

Yeah, for educators/teachers or those wanting to go the NA route to that particular goal, you can do the Genesis University BA Education (plus Religion), University of Pasadena MA Education, and then lastly ladder to this EdD from Acacia. It's roughly $3K, plus $5K, and ending with $10K, a total of $18K from Bachelors to EdD, there are other routes using all NA options... Wait, I think the pricing is wrong, have to look it up again for them...

I had completely forgotten about the Genesis BA option. Not a bad pathway you've proposed, bjcheung77!

As for the actual rates, I remember UPasadena being around $2,500. Alas, they never responded to any emails, so I don't know if they're actually admitting any students.

Yeah, Acacia is $5K, University of Pasadena is actually not $5K as I mentioned... It's actually $2.5 as corrected by a post above. It really doesn't matter as long as the student knows there are multiple pathways to get to that EdD.

I attempted to locate the University of Pasadena. I found a .ORG website that resulted in a 404 error when clicked.

Is there another school with a .edu page that you were referring to?

No, that's the correct one... Seems they're not that fast at answering if they even answer at all... I would still try to see what you can do, but this is the $2500 NA MEd, people can ladder to a NA EdD if needed.

University of Pasadena is interesting. That MEd is cheaper than UoPeople’s. And it’s the only thing they offer. I wonder how well it’s received out in the wild.
