South CBE may not be the best choice

I haven't had this experience at all. Everything automated too. As soon as I finish the nineth course the next day I was in the tenth course. There could be better quality control in the professors they hired. They were pretty nice though.

How many terms do you think it will take to complete your degree. What track are you on.

Hey, I got your private message, not sure why though, I'm not sure what issues South College is having, it may be just one program or a couple of programs affected... I'm not a student of South College, nor do I work for South College.  Was there some question you had that you thought I would be able to answer? If you can still finish the program, I would try to tough it out and get it done like this individual... Here's someone who finished the program recently: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Completed

There is definitely something going on in the background. They are deliberately taking days to respond to simple questions, more days to grade, and seems like forcing delays to make the program stretch. I've been doing 2 to 3 submission per day previously, they've throttled me to 1 every 2 to 3 days due to forced delays

Ouch, I wonder why they're forcing these delays anyways... I know they're a bit short staffed, but not sure if they can alleviate that by hiring temp staff.

I think a lot of schools do that in the dissertation portion when it comes to stretching out the dissertation. It is their way of making money. It happened to me at Northcentral now National Unoversity.

I finish the program. I was in the leadership track.  Two terms min. It is impossible to finish the course in one term. The dissertation if you work on it every single day you can finish it in one term if not be prepared for a second term easily. I barely finished on time and that was working day and day out on the program and quitting my second job. For the average person if they did not have a strong background like the wgu based education I highly doubt people can finish in less than two years.

There has been a lot of turnover and hiring has become more strict from some professors either quitting or being removed. Also some of the strongest professors got promoted to be in charge of the program. The program being so new is going to go through these growing pains. Not defending them but just giving some insights. I knew things were smoother further down the road when they started automating some of the backend issues but they have a lot of work to do.

I ask about that and hiring temp staff in a new doctoral program is not the best look on the university. Based on the delays one of the most common issues I heard is unlike wgu, there is no good or strong basis for the pass or fail. Some professors I had were super strict on grading on the littlest things versus others were more liberal with their approach. Especially in the earlier courses. This has caused the university to look back and talk to students who accelerated too quickly in the beginning and then they think their held back by the ninth or tenth course in reality they should not be pushed that far to begin with.
