Where to Find Calculus 3
#11
I don't think anyone has reported transferring in Calc III recently. But what I would do would be to make a list and just keep emailing for preplanning until they accepted one. I would guess that one of OSU's classes should transfer. https://ecampus.oregonstate.edu/soc/ecat...ubject=MTH

I know you said that it doesn't need to be UL, but TESU's own MAT-3310 Calculus III is UL.  That may be the issue with the common sources mentioned here, in this subject/course, wherever you transfer it in from needs to be an UL equivalent for TESU.

IIRC, some of the rejected sources have also been UL credit. I think the problem here is that, for whatever reason, TESU bizarrely has very specific requirements for what makes something Calc III and not Calc IV. If the Calc III syllabus contains elements of Calc II or Calc IV, TESU may be reject it because it doesn't align perfectly with their own Calc III class.

That may be the case. I hadn't seen any UL suggestions when I glanced the suggestions here (those I looked up where all LL 200 or below)  - my mistake.

Rachel might also be referring to the ones rejected in the past, not specifically those listed in the thread. As I remember, someone had this issue only last summer and a couple UL from 4 year sources got kicked back there.

You could be right about them kicking back any LL version specifically because theirs is UL though.

Back in 2014, I transferred in Calc 1,2,3 and Diff Equ/Lin Alg successfully from my local CC. Yes, they were all considered LL, a sore spot as I wanted to LinAlg to count for the BACS AOS at the time, but it didn't. It's probably too long ago to alleviate @sarahmac's concerns, but I would be very surprised if any RA Calc 3 were actually rejected for transfer, and would expect alt-credit sources to transfer as well.

Now if you're trying to use it as degree requirement, like for a Math degree, the fact that it's LL might keep it from fulfilling the requirement, as in my case, and maybe that is the issue here. In that case, I'd look for 4 year RA school that offers it for UL credit, and would expect it to fulfill the requirement.

Same here. I'm doing Maths / CS degree and I need Calculus III. I registered with NMJC but...Calculus III does not show as an available course when I search for courses.

Any help / suggestions will be very much appreciated.

My TESU advisor told me that Westcott Courses (UMass Global) Calc III was accepted as UL in TESU.

That's been going back and forth a few times from being accepted to not being accepted, but good to know it's still being accepted, I guess they're 'going somewhere' with these classes and hopefully they'll take it as RA as well...
