DEGREE PLAN HELP PLEASE!
#61
If you've already taken the Sophia course, you can request for UMPI to ignore it and allow you to take their version. They're fine with this. You simply need to know that this is a possibility. It's just that in the BUS141 course that Sophia's PM course replaces, you historically create a template that's used for 2 more classes. Without that template, the UL classes can be significantly slower/more confusing. Nothing's stopping you from doing a double or triple minor; it's just one extra UMPI class to take.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Sounds about right. If you want to remove a class at UMPI, you could do the Google Data Analyst Professional certificate on Coursera instead of BUS245 directly from UMPI. But that's optional.

Yes, if you want to do the course at UMPI, you can have them ignore the transfer credit.

Exactly, I would take the Coursera/TADA offering as it's FREE, and you can do the following, finish all the Sophia.org classes you can transfer into UMPI, send all your credits for a final evaluation before you start UMPI. While waiting to start the next session, you can take the Coursera/TADA offerings that will land you credits.

Is there any short, free, and easy coursera courses that I can take? I saw the google data analytics cert and it said it’s 9 months long.

It is self-paced.. I did it in less than three days. It's free so just sign up via TADA and look for yourself. You only need to do the graded items.

I see 6 months for the certificate. But 6 months is the length if you limit yourself to 10 hours per week. And I have doubts about how they calculate that much.

6 months x 4 weeks x 10 hours per week = about 240 hours in total. (But probably less.) And that's only if you slowly read every single item (like you don't actually need to re-read the welcome portion for every course; they're almost identical) and watch every single video at normal speed. There is a lot of content that doesn't actually contain any course information ("Hi, I'm Bob. I work at Google doing XYZ. Here are reasons why Google is awesome."). Skip all that fluff and you can easily do one course of the certificate per day.

The American Dream Academy. It is how you get the Coursera certificates for free.

https://www.coursera.org/collections/enr...am-academy

You don't have to do all of the items TADA gives you access to. Just use it to do the Data cert.
