TESU help me understand things

ok I have decided to TESU for a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership or BA in Liberal Studies. I am leaning more towards BSOL because I feel as though it has more value than liberal studies, although, if somebody could tell me what is (easier) and can have more credits transferred into would be great as this and I am doing more for myself.  also this Is one of the nicest most helpful groups I have ever found. Seeing all the posts answering to peoples questions is really nice to see.

The BSOL can't be done entirely via alt-credit, so you'd have to do the 15cr single FT/FR term at TESU, but you would be doing 15cr there, almost all of which were UL except the cornerstone (you need the capstone, and 2 courses listed, all of which are UL, the cornerstone which is LL, and then 1 additional course of whatever you want).  This is also a very UL-heavy degree, so you could not optimize Sophia like you could with the BALS; you'd need 8 UL courses via Study.com between the required, Advanced Leadership, Advanced Leadership Electives, and Supportive Leadership courses.

You're much better off with the UMPI BLS or the TESU BALS.

My suggestion for individuals looking at the TESU BSOL is that, even though it's a "business degree", it doesn't have the ACBSP recognition. I don't think or recall that it's fully test-out-able either.  You can take courses towards a BALS as you mentioned or do the BSBA (any AOS such as HR/Ops Management or something else).

Essentially, I would pick either over the BSOL due to three reasons... the difference between HR/Ops are 5 courses.
1) You have a knack for programmatic/secondary accreditation, BSBA has ACBSP but the BSOL doesn't.
2) You can transfer in 114 credits, the only courses that can't be transferred is the Corner & Capstone.
3) The main reason for choosing the BSBA degree - it's cheaper/easier/faster with the BSBA than the BSOL.

Everyone does things differently, you're starting off and going all over the place, take your time and read/review the posts/threads/wiki.. If you have questions, provide more details within those questions.

Sorry there is so much information that it’s very overwhelming. Trying to know what’s what and what’s best I tried reading other post maybe I just need to keep reading. I am someone who is told what to do they can get it done no matter the cost. It’s just hard to find the path. And put the pieces together.

Slow down, take a deep breath. Take your time to get your degree.

Org Leadership can be done mostly with alt credit, if that's what you really want. But there are other options out there. UMPI's BABA Management/Leadership degree would be cheaper and faster, assuming you're okay with writing essays.

I think that it's best to spend a month (ish) researching on this forum, and figuring out which degree you want, and then planning it out prior to starting. That being said, there are people who spend WAY too much time planning and asking questions and analysis paralysis, and never make a decision and never actually take the courses and get their degree. So, give yourself a deadline, do the research, and then choose and begin.

Also, there are MANY here who advise people to get dual degrees, add-on associates degrees, etc. which isn't always helpful. Work on learning about degrees and then make decisions and a plan. Don't get distracted by all of the options. Figure out what will work best for you and then do it.

As I like to say, the best degree is the one that you finish.
