Two new offerings from UpGrad:
Doctor of Business Administration from Edgewood College. RA and ACBSP, B&M university in the United States. 2 year program. Program tuition $22,500:
https://www.upgrad.com/us/dba-from-edgewood-college/
Joint MBA/DBA from Edgewood College. Can be completed in 2.5 years. Program tuition $30,000:
https://www.upgrad.com/us/mba-dba-edgewood-college/
Both programs indicate scholarships available for up to 50% of the course tuition.
I have looked at this a fair bit and have a few thoughts.
1) Edgewood does not currently offer a DBA either on campus or online. This was concerning, but I did find a page on the Edgewood website indicating they have entered into an agreement with upGrad.
2) I have poked around on upGrad’s website but haven’t found rules about who can pursue these programs (specifically if people in the US/US & Canada/North America/etc) are ineligible for admission or for the scholarships. I haven’t emailed about this.
The possibility of a DBA from and RA and ACBSP accredit school—even if the DBA isn’t ACBSP accredited specifically—for less than $12,000 is pretty darn tempting.
Master of Accountancy (taxation concentration), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
Master of Business Administration (financial planning specialization), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
BA, UMPI. Accounting major; Business Administration major/Management & Leadership concentration. Awarded Dec. 2021.
In-person/B&M: BA (history, archaeology)
In-person/B&M: MA (American history)
Sophia: 15 courses (42hrs)

As tempting as it may be, more research into their program and knowing what you're paying for... Essentially, make sure all the 'check boxes' are marked off on accreditation, cost, recognition, etc before you invest in a 2.5-3 year long degree... I think it's good to take a look, but make an informed decision before you partake or decide not to partake in it.

Does anyone know if UpGrad practices price discrimination of some kind (similar to how the price of your IU University tuition is locked in based on your IP Address)? I see via the API that there's varying prices based on country code:
https://prodapi.upgrad.com/apis/v4/progr...tryCode=bd / https://prodapi.upgrad.com/apis/v4/progr...ode=africa (shows as $10,000 USD true cost, versus $12,000 for US students)
https://prodapi.upgrad.com/apis/v4/progr...tryCode=ca
https://prodapi.upgrad.com/apis/v4/progr...tryCode=us
https://prodapi.upgrad.com/apis/v4/progr...tryCode=es
Also, one of the first results that popped up for Edgewood College were former campus community members complaining about the racist culture at Edgewood Culture:

Ouch, that's why you want to research and review more what others have to say about the program of study...

Il talk about Edgewood College, regarding UpGrad's side of things i can not comment. The College has everything in order, https://www.chea.org/edgewood-college this is a good overview of what's what since the College page does not reveal a lot of things (at least to me).
The German National repository for degree lists the Institution with +H (best score) , the degrees from it would be recognized in Germany. (and in any ENIC-NARIC network)
The only thing i do not get is why in WES degree-equivalency-tool does not have the Institution listed, but maybe someone from US can explain what i am missing here.
The College is from the looks of it established by Dominicans, Catholic mendicant order.

I imagine WES US does not have an equivalence in their tool because Edgewood College is a US college and WES only evaluates foreign degrees. The WES marketing is more for people looking to immigrate to the US.
It doesn't appear in WES Canada's equivalence tool either though.

Indeed. And yea i went for the Canada version same results. But it reminded me of the GGU situation, while i was browsing WES, i stumbled on GGU in the database, the question is do they even offer this degree in the US? if i recall correct people could not sign up for the program if you where from/in the US.
And it is probably the best to get someone from UpGrads GGU program for feedback.

Side Note: Some programs offered by UpGrad is not available for prospective students in the US. It's also strange that some of the programs from UpGrad does not really compute properly as the program isn't offered by the institution they're partnering with. Some things just don't check out properly...
So again, I would make sure to do your research before using them. When Udacity gets to transition into a newer provider if/when UpGrad makes changes, I would also recommend making sure every box is checked before deciding on any program offerings, just in case. Keep yourself cautious and updated...

I have been seeing Facebook ads for this straight from Edgewood College. Couldn’t find one quick, but did find the DBA online version.
