I just got this email: "Thomas Edison State University is reducing the Credit Hour Residency requirement for students in our Per Credit and Full-time Flat Rate Tuition Plans from 16 to 15 credits as of July 1, 2023."
This is huge for some people's plans.

This is great! Now that PLA-100 is no longer offered, trying to get 16 credits in a single term was a challenge. 15 credits will be easier in so many ways.

so "old" resident credits from the first TESU degree can still be used for the second degree like before?

Should be able to. I don't think TESU cares when the credits were taken, simply that you have at least 15 TESU credits.

agreeing!
random side note that I just noticed today while catching up:
PLA 1010 (new version of that PLA-100 course) is now 3 credits, but requires synchronous meetings.

It was always stupid that they required 16 when 99% of their courses are 3 credits.
Wasn't there a poster here recently that accidentally only took 15 credits in their full time session? They should be told that they were just being clairivoyant.

Great work TESU! This is awesome, they finally started to 'remove' some speed bumps or barriers with this change... I wonder what else was in store, I think LevelUP mentioned in another thread the flat rate tuition for out of state was cheaper, like about $500... that's another great change!

Yes, It was a weird hold over policy from some old requirement....
