Yes, that Medical Terminology TECEP is to get you enrolled and get the unlimited evaluations plus the academic advising and other resources that come with enrollment. You'll also have a catalog year set, if things change for the program requirements, you wouldn't be affected unless they are policy/tuition changes. If you read my previous posts, I usually recommend getting the TECEP, then leaving it and forgetting it...

One thing I will mention, however, is that you'll want to PAY FOR (but not take) the 1-credit Medical Terminology TECEP every 12-14 months. Including right now. This only costs $52 but will unlock full enrollment status. Full enrollment status unlocks unlimited evaluation of transcripts from Study.com, Sophia, etc. Being able to send in your transcripts every month or two is crucial to confirming that you're on the right track. It also "locks in" your already-completed classes. If TESU were to suddenly stop taking a class already on your transcript, you'd be grandfathered in and it'd be okay. If they decided to stop taking it, but you hadn't transferred it in yet, you'd be out of luck. Aww, I only need to register for this course; I do not need to attend this course every 12~14 months, and I also do not need an exam to gain this credit. Is my understanding correct? Can you help clarify if this is the course? Please view the link and screenshots. Thanks a lot! ~

Regarding books, how does everyone find books? I know BookFinder.com and App Libby. Does anyone have good advice? ~
It's actually just a test, not a whole course. Not only do you not have to take it, you really don't want to take it. For one thing, it's not easy unless you happen to be familiar with medical terminology, but the real reason is that it's about the only 1cr TECEP available to use for the purpose of extending enrollment. If you were to pass it, it wouldn't be available if you needed it later.
For courses at TESU that need textbooks, I either rented them from Amazon, or found them used. I got the text for my database course from a university library for $10. It looked like it hadn't been opened since the librarian stamped the inside cover when it arrived.
Thank you for your response. If I only enroll in the course but do not take it, will I receive any warnings or penalties? Can you help clarify whether this attachment is the correct course ? I'll make the payment tonight. Due tomorrow is the last day of payment for July terms.

@emmaya, No penalties, warnings, or anything detrimental to your academic account, No worries. We've recommending to register for the Medical Terminology TECEP and forgetting/leaving it as again, all it does help you with is to get you enrolled and provided whatever student benefits it will come with, such as the NJ Library card access and whatever else. If you don't take the test, you don't get a fail or anything, there is no credit for it if you 'miss' the exam. The goal for that is again, to get you enrolled and keep your catalog year just in case anything to the degree requirements change over time.

Actually, there may be a "warning" in the form of an email saying that you've registered for a TECEP that doesn't fit with your degree plan and maybe you made a mistake? "Please talk to an advisor." That kind of thing.
Ignore it.

@emmaya, you need to stop for a moment and re-read everything. If someone is asking you to 'don't take it', forget it, leave it. What type of action will you be doing now or later with the exam? A few members mentioned not to do anything with the exam and not take it or ignore, forget/leave it. So...Your answer is, no action. This is a very simple step, you're using too much energy/time over-thinking the easiest steps.
If that is the case, you'll come across even more of a headache since you've not even started... It's best to follow through with doing the steps, and come back with questions when there are any issues or help you really need assistance with. If you aren't taking the exam, there isn't any extra things to overthink about. I highly recommend taking your time, not rushing things...
We're here to help answer questions and guide you through the steps. The degree will have 120 credits, 40 courses, the exam isn't even part of it, if you continue at this pace asking and not working towards those steps (Sophia.org/Study.com, Spreadsheet), you're still at step number 1 and at 0 credits... So again, for the third time, start the spreadsheet, Sophia/Study.com, etc and be prepared to ask relevant questions that will affect you (the TECEP doesn't).
Now get this, most members here will provide you the cheap, easy, fast options and everyone will have their various answers/advice, when the time comes, some advice contradict others as some would provide you cheap, easy, fast with extra ROI/Value, but for myself, I've transitioned to more of a personal approach in addition to the ROI/Value. That's when you have to decide which answer suits you most...

When it comes to the Roadmap (https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...ience_Plan) and editing my list of courses, how can I determine which one is the best fit for me if they fall under the same category? I often find myself feeling lost when I look at the list.

You will need 24 RA credits from somewhere + capstone & cornerstone from TESU in order to get your degree. Do you have at least 24 RA credits or RA-equivalent foreign credits on your TESU transcript yet?

Sadly, for some seasons, ITESU did not accept the transfer of my credits from my education abroad. As a result, I am required to complete a total of 120 credits.

In that case, you're going to need to prioritize your RA credits. You can try using (almost) free XAMK credits - mostly in the electives. Once you've figured out your RA and RA-equivalent credits, fill in as much as you can with Sophia credits. They're one of the fastest/cheapest ways to get credits for TESU. Most of the rest will need to come from Study.com.
