Also, would the enrollment counselor start the process to collect transcripts?
Thank you!
You don't have to speak to them ever. You apply right on the website. You are responsible for having your transcripts sent to UMPI. Enrollment counselors don't get your transcripts.

I haven't apply myself yet as I want to work on my Sophia course but I'm also trying to figure out which courses they will accept from my AS degree.

Thank you, good to know. I cancelled the appointment and I'll just reach out to UMPI directly once I get more Sophia credits racked up!
Any updates?

I was just looking at their website and it says:
" There is no limit to the number of credit hours you can transfer."
It's in the bottom, in FAQ section:
https://online.umpi.edu/what-is-your-pace/
Please excuse me if this question was already asked but what does this mean? Do I still have to take 30 credits at UMPI, but I can transfer even 110 credits?

@berlinerd, Welcome to the board, you may want to take some time reading through various posts, threads, and the WIKI to get more details on degrees you may be interested in. You should also fill in the template/last post addendum here for degree planning advice https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works
To answer your questions, see below:
1) Please excuse me if this question was already asked but what does this mean?
Exactly that... You can transfer an unlimited number of credits into UMPI! You just need to remember what was listed on the very first post, they'll take your entire lot if it's worth college credit, but you can only utilize up to a max of 90 in the degree.
2) Do I still have to take 30 credits at UMPI, but I can transfer even 110 credits?
Yes, you still have to do the 30 credits at UMPI for residency, you can transfer in 110 credits, but only 90 credits will go into your degree plan. In fact, if you read or re-read post #40, that member had 180 credits, plus, 30 Sophia.org credits. They still need to do the final 30 at UMPI.

Thank you so much for your answer! I'll surely follow the advice. Apologize for asking the same question, I've been in read-only for months and after so many planning and consideration I am a bit confused.
I asked that because I was thinking into getting two majors to get 150 credits for CPA exam eligibility, but I'll discuss that in another thread. Thank you!

I just searched the forum but as usual I am probably bad at searching... has anybody tried to transfer Coopersmith to UMPI? I did not find it on Transfer Equivalences ( https://mainestreetcs.maine.edu/psp/CSPR..._GUEST.GBL?) but still... maybe somebody had any luck?

Coopersmith are NCCRS credits (not ACE credits). UMPI takes ACE, but not NCCRS.

Furthermore, UMPI takes RA credits for transfer as well. Having said that, unless they have some specific articulation with an institution that has NA instead of RA status, they may also look at a possible case by case option. Before you take any NCCRS options from Coopersmith, Davar, Genesis University, LawShelf, OnlineDegree, etc, you want to email them just in case they have some type of agreement for articulation transfers.

- You are permitted to bring in up to 90 credits.
Why only 90 credits? On the YourPace site it says you can bring in an unlimited amount of unspecified credits. Did they change their policies recently?
Nothing has changed. A bachelor's degree requires 120 credits and you must complete a minimum of 25% of the degree requirements at UMPI. They only accept 90 transfer credits towards your degree. You must complete at least 30 credits at UMPI. My transcripts show over 200 credits, but I still had to complete at least 30 at UMPI.

I completed 3 minors. I was capped at 90 transfer credits. You can't complete additional majors. Those would be additional bachelor's degrees. If you want and are able to complete 2 bachelor's degrees, you'll need to complete a minimum of 30 additional credits at UMPI. Finish your first one first, then worry about the second one. It's easier if you've already graduated to complete the second one. I'm doing this right now.
Nice! can you give your input on my "degree plan help" please. I'm looking at doing BLS management, but baba marketing sounds interesting also!
