For electives they accepted:
ASU course CIS 194
Google IT Support Cert for 12 credits
Princ of Accounting
Macro Eco
Micro Eco
Intro to Business
US History 2
Human Bio
Art History 1
Project Management
Intro to Ethics
Intro to Web Dev
Dev Effective Teams
Ess of Managing Conflict
IT Career Exploration

Everything was on Sophia except for ASU, CSM, and Google IT.

UMPI I am in the middle of them looking at my credits so I'm not sure which they will accept as of yet.

This is good info to know.

And which American Dream certs have you done? Can you list all the ones you did or attempted?

I have completed the ones I mentioned:

Google IT Professional Support Certificate – 12cr
Google Data Analytics Certificate - 12cr
Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate - 9cr
IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate - 10cr

May seem like a lot, but keep in mind some of these courses you don't have to watch every single video and do every single practice test etc, if you know the material, maybe you have experience in tech or whatever, you can skip to the graded tests and complete the weeks that way much faster. I went through every ace credit course on coursera and tried them all out but found these 4 to be easiest/quickest (worth while) for myself.

These are all the courses on Coursera that recommend ACE credit, some are just trials though.

>CIS 194 (Bus Tech Fund) from ASU which is only 1 crt as well but it gives you a GPA grade of 4.0 which is required by Pierpont.

I was planning to take CIS 194 from ASU to get a "last institutional grade" for UMPI after my upcoming Pierpont AAS, but you're saying there's a Pierpont requirement? Do you have any more info on that? Thanks.

If I remember correctly one of the requirements is that you must have a 2.0 GPA or higher, most classes on Sophia etc are pass/fail so the ASU course is a quick way to get a 4.0 on your record. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Well there's at least this requirement for an Area of Emphasis: "Students completing 15 or more credits in a particular technical or occupational focus will have an “area of emphasis” noted on their academic transcript upon graduation, provided the student has earned grades of C or higher in each course."

But it would also make sense that if one had no graded credits (all Sophia), it would be difficult for Pierpont to confer a degree as it would have no GPA. I was hoping you might might have had a list of requirements stating as such to look at, but thanks a lot for replying!

Yes, ACE/Coursera options are great, I would highly recommend you get the ones available for ACE credit from Coursera that's offered free with TADA, here's the WIKI, you can always do more that is outside of TADA's offerings afterwards when you have the energy or time for them: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera

Pierpont takes a long time to finish/process degrees. You'd likely finish your BA at Maine before you even get your Pierpont transcript processed.

I did my entire BA with Sophia & UMPI in 7 months total, and took a 1.5 month break.

Now, it would've been even faster for me, because Sophia has extra courses that can transfer in such as Spanish I, Biology,

I wouldn't even bother slowing down your progress with the Google Certifications. Focus all 100% on sophia first and finish everything you can there, then go to UMPI. you can do the Coursera courses later. There's so many easy credits on Sophia, that Sophia will be simply faster.

Agree 100% with ashkir.  I started my degree journey on Dec 16, 2022.  Had enough credits through Sophia by January (counting previous credits earned at B&M school) to submit for my Pierpont AAS.  Started taking classes at SDC, took 6, then started at UMPI on March 13.  I will finish at UMPI in 1 term, unless something major happens, meaning I'm done with my bachelors on May 5th.  I won't actually graduate from Pierpont until May 12th so technically I will have finished my BA before my AA.

Eng 121 - I can do this on sophia as eng comp 2
POS 101 American Gov I can do this on sophia soon i read, or is instacert a workable better option?
Eng 211 Creative Writing - I don't know if I can replace this instead of UMPI?
BIO 105=Biology for Every Day Life - Just saw I can do the SDC version
Geo 101= Human Geography or SOC 100=Intro to Sociology I can do sociology on sophia
Fre 101=Elementary French I or SPA 101 Spanish I can do spanish on sophia

Are these the best pathways to follow to complete these 7 classes? Any input would be appreciated.
