My question regarding the SOS110 I read that if the course is out of your area of study you can pass with a 60% grade I want to confirm this I do not want to focus in the course I'm working to pass my LIB495.

Regards

You can pass SOS-110 with a 60% but keep in mind that you need still need to average 73% overall.

If you follow my guide, knocking out the quizzes, Nimble, and MyLab in the first couple of weeks will make things MUCH easier.

It's almost impossible to get less than a B in the course considering you complete all the work.

The LIB495 forum posts are generally fairly short. I don't recall spending more than about 20 min on any of them. Often much less. Also remember that if you find yourself falling behind, be sure to notify the mentor any time you are in danger of turning in an assignment late. If you are late without permission, school policy requires that the mentor dock points, but if the mentor preapproves, then generally no points are taken. Also, be aware of the availablity of course extensions. Better to pay for an extension than get crowded by time into a poor grade.

I started a new job that required a lot of travel after I started my capstone. I basically turned all the assignments in late after the 3rd or 4th week, and used an extension to turn the final paper in about 2 weeks late. I got a high A in the course.

Im having problem with proquest how can I open a account there con you use google scholar besides that.
I need to do an academic research for the SOS110 and they suggest.

"Note: Scholarly sources are typically found in subscription databases like ProQuest and EBSCOhost. You’ll learn more about those in later modules. If you are comfortable using subscription databases, feel free to use them to find a scholarly article. Otherwise, you can search for open access scholarly articles that are freely available on the web using the Directory of Open Access Journals."

You should apply for a NJ State Library card, which is a perq of being a TESU student. It includes access to both of those.

@gams007, it's also energy/time management, you basically want to spend at least 80/20 on your courses, 80 on the capstone and 20 on the cornerstone. By following LevelUp's recommendation on getting as much done with the course will make it easier down the road, your main focus remains on the Capstone, you don't want to "wing it, just to pass" on either course, you want to maintain a good grade to get you ready for the finish/final weeks and prep for grad school.

I spent 3 hours doing my first Business Capstone forum post!  It's stressful when you start because you have no grades and aren't sure what the expectations are and if your work will meet them.

The next term, I did the Liberal Arts capstone, which took around 1 hour for each forum post. For Liberal Arts, there are only 4 forum posts, and for the Business Capstone, there are 11 forum posts.

Hi Levelup, I saw your guide but let me tell you there is no Nimble and MyLab, I currently taking the SOS110 and the course titel is "Information Literacy Today" and your was "Critical Information Literacy" and I remember there was another SOS110 with this titel "Living in the Information Age" the course has change.

Also, to reiterate what's stated above (because you're quoting the old info), you are no longer guaranteed 100% toward your grade just by completing the ETS. You'll get either 100, 85, or 75.

Hi guys, I want to share this guidance for computer science ETS Major Test, on the website they give some courses that you need to review to prepare to pass the TEST.

Hi Levelup, the guide that you expose here is obsolete the whole course of information literacy has changed I attach the new syllabus, it is a bunch a writing the only easy stuff are the quizzes that weight 9 points.
