Many of our members are sufficiently knowledgeable to offer valid criticisms of articles like this but it's a decent starting point for newbies and might generate some good conversation.

I don't think they know what "self-paced" means. They included TESU. I really don't think TESU is self-paced. Just because it doesn't adhere to a specific semester schedule doesn't make it self-paced.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I'm disappointed that under cost, they don't address pay by term vs pay by course and how that can massively affect the total price tag. The closest they come is under WGU where they say, 'Western Governors University might not be the best fit for students who: Can’t stand alone to give 100% attention to a self-paced online bachelor’s degree program." Whatever that means exactly. It's also a shame they don't address how well each of the schools handle transfer credit. I think the majority of people considering such programs are dropouts who have significant amounts of existing credit.
