Hi. I have a Plan B question.
My intent since starting at UMPI last session is to at minimum complete a (any) four year bachelors degree (preferred in my current field of business, but any 4yr at min); though my highest priority is getting the BABA Leadership/management degree.
My question is, (if approved by UMPI in Your Pace, of course) - if for any reason I am not able to complete all or selected classes needed for the BABA leadership/management; am I am able to combine my transfer credits with UMPI credits to finish off any needed BAS/BLS required courses to get the degree? (again, staying within YourPace system for the classes if UMPI approved).
(I did just complete the Pierpont AAS Bog in May, and have sent that transcript to UMPI and a note to Jessica W. requesting to note in my profile I have the AAS in case of switching to the BAS).
I transferred in about 90 credits from brick n mortar colleges, dale carnegie , ACE and Sophia and have completed 9 credits/3 courses in Spring two, and am enrolled in Summer two.
Thank you.

As far as I understand your question... You mean changing BABA to a BLS at UMPI?
You can, if you fullfill the minor requeriments. Always with approval.
To a BLS to EC you need the General education and then enough LL & UL credits and elective crefits. Then you need to take the "stones"... Cornerstone and capstone.

Yes you can change degree programs. You still have to meet the requirements of the degree program you change to though.

Yes you can change your degree anytime with permission and as long as you have the requirements fulfilled, you can graduate with a BAS. Hmm, what's your end goal anyways? Everyone is different, some would want the BAS with a minor or two, some would want the BABA and concentration you're going for. Are you going to continue on with a Masters?

My end goal is to get the bachelors degree to continue to be viable in the sales/business world if I either change companies or take an early retirement between oct 2023 and feb 2024 and then to try a leadership role in another company, or perhaps begin a new career path that simply needs a bachelors degree. Getting a masters (the MAOL at UMPI) does intrigue me, for having the higher level business leadership skills/degree to get a unique leadership role; or perhaps even to use the masters combined with my years in business to get an adjunct professor of business role at a community or 4 year college.
Basically I'm just looking for at least a bachelors degree to stay employed doing something interesting in the back "half "of my career. I am very curious about what a role would feel like by getting it by having a degree proving some measure of knowledge/accomplishments, vs. how i got to where I am now with grit, long hours and luck.
I'm starting to panic a little on getting the Spanish course completed for UMPI requirement for BABA. Am taking the new Spanish offer currently on Sophia; if that doesn't work out I will try instantcert next.

That's good, continue onwards with the BABA first. I think Sophia.org Spanish shouldn't be too much of an issue for you, a review mentioned it was do-able even for those who have very little Spanish experience as it's an intro course. In regards to the MAOL, if you go that route, 3 of your UL may get transferred over to the MAOL. I don't think that's an option if you switch to the BAS.

Thank you very much. Love that piece about Baba to Maol using 3 of the courses to reduce maol time. Thank you.
