I plan on applying to UMPI over the summer. I have a few Sophia classes to get out of the way first. I had two questions, however.
1) I took Eng Comp 1 at a B&M school that was on a trimester system. It was a 4 credit class, which I believe makes it worth 2.66 credits in a standard system (?). Will this be enough to move on to Eng Comp 2 at UMPI or will I have to re-take?
2) I also took 2 sciences classes at a different B&M - a 3 credit BIO and a 4 credit Astronomy with lab. Is that enough for UMPI or does it specifically have to be the BIO that has the lab?
Thx!

1) That's the question to ask admissions office.
2) Oh, astronomy with lab will absolutely work to satisfy class with lab requirement. I had the same mix of classes (3cr biology + 4cr Astro+lab), and it worked just fine

I have no idea about your first question (I suspect that it should be fine), but your second is easy. Students need a biological science and a physical science. The lab can be for either science.
Make sure you talk to someone at UMPI and not an "admissions counselor" at their "admissions hotline". The admissions counselors are people who have been hired by UMPI but who work outside of the school. They have very little understanding of how the whole system works.

Your English will probably be fine but you won't know until your academic advisor does your degree audit. I transferred in a 1 credit ethics course and it was counted. YAY!
Your astronomy lab course will count for the lab science requirement and the physical science requirement. What was the biology course? All don't count towards the life science requirement.
