I have been reading that most schools have policies in place making it harder to get a second bachelors. What about getting an associates after a bachelors? Here’s my situation, the long and short of it:
-ex navy Nuke.
-attended a CC in California for a while.
-transferred to excelsior BSNET program before VA benefits ran out.
-taking last class before capstone, now.
-planning capstone in summer semester.
-had excelsior send transcript back to the CC, and I am an accounting class away from an AA in entrepreneurship.
-trying to decide between taking accounting class at CC over summer as well, or focus on capstone over summer and take finish AA in fall.
Is there anything that I should worry about as far as timing between the two?

You can’t get an Associate degree after a bachelors. You could get a certificate after a bachelors if there is something that interests you.

Why would you need an AA after you've completed a bachelor's degree? Many schools do allow for a second bachelor's degree but you typically have to complete an additional 30 (or more) credits. Some schools require them to be UL and some don't. Who are you looking to complete the AA from - Excelsior or your CC? You'd have to contact the school to find out what their policy is for completing an AA after completing a bachelor's degree. Some will allow it and some won't.

See if the community college has a "reverse transfer" policy.

Reason I want both:
-trying to round off my resume with a non technical degree, to go along with my technical one.
-I think an AA in business entrepreneurship AND a BS in nuclear engineering technology sounds cool. lol
-it’s one class, why not?
Looks like I need to call both schools on Monday to see what they say. Depending on when the grad ceremonies are, if I take both over summer, based on their start/stop dates, I’ll finish the accounting class a month before the capstone. I don’t know if that matters, or if when they stamp my degree matters.

I think if you're concurrently enrolled at the CC and EC, then it shouldn't be a problem. You're not actually getting an AA after a BA, you're getting them concurrently, or the AA will come first. Either way, I would do it if it's just 1 class.
I don't think that anyone will care about the AA though - it won't add anything to your resume. But if you want it, and it's just 1 class, then do it.

If you're that close to the AA in Entrepreneurship, I would recommend finishing it off since you've just got one course. It doesn't make too much a difference but is in a different subject matter than your Bachelors. If that course is of your interest, even better, take the course for fun and for credit towards the degree. Professionally it may not add much, but personally - or as a personal goal, it'll get you that checkbox.

I can’t say that accounting is a passion of mine, or anything. If I were going to take a class for fun, it wouldn’t be at the top of my list. It really just sort of happened. I needed to declare a major at the CC for my va benefits, and there weren’t any AOS classes I needed to transfer to Excelsior from a CC, so I selected business to round off some semesters while knocking out GEs. The way the semesters played out, and classes available, etc I ended up this close to the AA in Entrepreneurship. The last 3 interviews I had, all for management roles, at some point every one of them mentioned “I see your experience has all been on the technical side.” So, I’m thinking something on the business side, even if it’s a lower degree, might round that off. I just hope I’m not in a position where I have to postpone my BS yet another 4 months, because it would be recorded and mess up the AA.

I think if you finish the AA courses before EC you'll be fine. It's only 1 class so it probably is worth it especially since you've had comments on your technical experience when you're up for a management position.

I'm not sure how much that one class is going to cost you, but have you considered instead UMPI after you've gotten your EC BS? Maybe a BABA in Project Management or something like that?
