Lets see if this works.  Im not sure how to 'add' the forum as a person to share with.  I don't think it's view only either.  I have the original in another program, I'm ok if this gets adjusted.  Thank you!

You have to allow access to the document.

Don't add anyone. When you go to get the link, you need to change it to "everyone with this link can view". Instructions here: https://www.hampshire.edu/it/tips-on-sha...ogle-drive Follow "Share a single item using a link"

Yeah, I'm not seeing the document either. We'll just wait until that gets sorted, it's planning for now anyways, you need to start getting the general education/free electives done then work on your core or the area of study. I would mix/match the courses so it doesn't bog you down working on a specific area.

I seemed to have fixed my google drive issue:

Would love for you all to have a look at it. Trying to figure out TESU Residency. For me, TIME is my issue, not $. I work a lot and have very little time left. So would prefer quick over cheap.

1. I just finished the cornerstone and TECEP for meteorology. Studied 8 hrs for TECEP, absolutely hacked it! and still got an 80%. Not sure how, but that was a great time value.

2. Physics 1&2 w/ Lab (8cr). Saw that NMJC was recommended, but they only have physics for non science majors online. Should i just do at TESU and forgo the e-packs? That leaves me w 2 credits left so PLA won't cover that. suggestions? other RA options?

3. I'm halfway through SOPHIA Algebra, but I really don't like the video instruction they offer. Khan is far better. I don't mind the overall interface, but wondering if doing IC and CLEP is a better option for me than SOPHIA in general. I need to feel good about the Algebra because I have Physics and Precalc in my near future. Art History on SOPHIA looks good though.

4. Public Speaking: Any good options for this?

Thank you all!!

2. TESU doesn't have Physics ePacks. The list of ePacks are here: https://www2.tesu.edu/listallc.php?type=EP Physics @ TESU would be actual courses. It might or might not be easier to do the classes at TESU, if you don't mind the money. It's algebra-based Physics from TESU, which is what I suspect NMJC means by "Physics for non-science majors". The other kind would be calculus-based physics.

3. If you're okay with spending a bit more, I would take Algebra and/or Pre-Calc from ASU: https://ea.asu.edu/courses/ $425 per course and you'll learn much more math than you would through Sophia (possibly even Khan Academy). They both have self-paced enroll anytime options.

4. Presentation Skills in the Workplace at Study.com. It'll take less than a week to go through the quizzes and take the exam. Some people have done it in 1-2 days.

TECEP only counts toward residency if you're in a military degree program: https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/faqs-cre...-residency

Catalog: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/Current/...quirements

Edit: It looks like you already knew that, but I posted before looking at the Google Sheet.

rachel83az

thank you!!!

2. Yes, I have to take a full course for Physics anyway, so might as well do it as part of my residency credits.

3.  Thanks I think ASU could be a good fit.  I don't want to just pass, I need to know the math.

4. Thx!  This is perfect!

With Sophia you don't have to watch the videos, you can read the text transcript which is faster. I'll watch the videos at 2x speed only if they have interesting ones and not talking head ones.

You could download the pdf and work off that as well if you can scroll to find the right section to line up with the quizzes.

I suggest taking a small break from Algebra and giving Intro to Ethics & Ancient Greek Philosophy a try on Sophia. Then do the Art History ones.

Thank you for this!  It's a nice resource but after speaking to an advisor, it seems a few of these courses are not accepted.

Sophia courses NOT accepted (according to advisor on 06/29/22):

Intro to Sociology

Psychology

I'm putting this here for future reference.
