I would not 100% trust ANYTHING that ANY advisor says right now. Last year (2020), ashkir was getting told that he could only bring in 90 TOTAL credits from ACE sources when at the time, the limit was 90 credits PER PROVIDER. Other advisors were NOT giving the same information at that time.
Come January 2021, TESU announced its new policy with the 90 total credit limit. It turned out that ashkir's advisor WAS right... just totally incorrect on the timing. As you can see by this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-Explained they gave everyone until March 1st to transfer in more than 90 credits.
So, if this is going to be a new TESU policy, I would expect to see an announcement in January and we have until March to transfer in as many SDC courses as we have left. Hopefully.
When TESU stopped accepting Shmoop courses, it was announced out of the blue at the beginning of May, 2018. They only accepted Shmoop courses that were already pre-planned. https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ing-Shmoop

Got hold of someone and they mentioned that they have had quite a few calls on this.
1. They are definitely still accepting Study.com.
2. There is no plan to change that.
3. Some courses are under review though.
4. They'll know the outcome of the review in Jan.
5. Once enrolled, the academic people will tell you the status of a specific course.
+ one thing, the person I spoke to said this is pretty much an ongoing thing. It's not something new. This is like a regular thing they do. And they don't just do to Study.com they do to all of them so its something I got to deal with.
Thank you.
So now, I think we need @joshypauly to reach out to their advisor to know why did she have said that.
Also, should the mods edit the title to add something like [unconfirmed]? I believe so.

I did this morning after reading Rachel's post. Awaiting her response.

One thing you could do is get TESU advising to add your study.com planned courses to your degree plan.
This may help give you a grace period if there is a change. Worth a try.

Thanks LevelUp. That's interesting. On the Shmoop thread Rachael linked to it seemed they allowed that.
I'm gonna rush and try to get my stuff locked down now as much as I can.
I've been spending weeks on TEL/ONU getting my RAs when I should have been grinding out SDC instead.

Does anyone have a list of the SDC courses that will be effected by the policy? (Since it is not all the courses).

As of right now, we don't know if it'll be some, all, or no SDC courses.

Yeah, let me get that list for you - (looks at my magical coin) read me a course and I'll flip it! It'll give you the answer... it's a two headed coin by the way. Heads it's accepted... the other head, it's not...

I am currently attending for two AAS Computer Studies and Military Tech Leadership and BALS Computer Science. So this will definitely crimp credit transfers.
Has anyone else been told this and if so, possible path forward?
Hello, this is Study.com. We wanted to clarify that we still do have an active partnership with TESU, and our courses continue to be accepted for credit at TESU.
We've been in contact with TESU about the confusion here, and they have sent a reminder to their military and veteran departments so that advising is clear going forwards.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this misunderstanding has caused.
