Transferring ethics courses from the Institutes to TESU
#1
Has anyone had any success transferring the Institutes Ethics class over to TESU using the new system? If I have the institutes send the transcript over to TESU, will they accept it?

The Institutes no longer awards ACE credit to students who aren't members. You'll need to take Ethics at Sophia if you want a cheap Ethics class.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

That is correct, unless you have had it completed and already on your Credly account as a badge with the ACE recommendation for credit, you won't be getting it transferred over to any institution.

I don't think that was possible - they did not issue Credly badges, so there was not way to do this; there's not even a way to request that they send a badge (and they already said they wouldn't).

I have this course, used it with my 2018 graduation date; I still don't have the badge in Credly and probably never will.

Oh well, thank you very much. Just curious how do people even become members?

Thank you for letting me know.

You need to be an insurance underwriter or something like that.

I see you recommended Sophia but I was wondering if I could take the cyber security ethics course and transfer it to TESU. I want to take classes at Study.com as well and am trying to go about it the most economical way.

Study.com is good for UL requirements but Sophia is by far the cheapest for LL requirements. Even if you only take 1 course during a 1 month span at Sophia, it's cheaper than Study.com. But you can complete much more than 1 course during a month! Depending on how much you know and how fast you work, you can complete 1, 5, 10 courses and you still only pay $79!

^^^ THIS. Essentially, if you really want to use Study.com, you can - but try to do as many of them that is NOT offered by Sophia.org AND is upper level.

TEEX Cyber Security Ethics?  I think is only 2 credits, and should hit the requirement, you may want to get prior approval and verify it is usable with an email to academic advising before taking it.  I still think it may be easier with the Sophia.org course though... decisions, decisions...
