WGU Bachelor in Computer Science 122 credits instead of 120?

A CS degree could, conceivably, be used for similar purposes as IT degrees. But an IT degree wouldn't necessarily work for CS purposes. The exception would be something like Purdue Global's IT degree that has a programming minor. Even then, that's still not really a CS degree.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

EC has a BS in IT. Many schools have gotten away from CS degrees and moved into IT degrees and even those are now being broken down into more specific areas such as cybersecurity, data science/analytics, etc.

Schools may ADD IT degrees, but they aren't generally getting rid of CS degrees because of it.  Nobody thinks CompSci and IT degrees are even close to the same.  They are completely different in almost every way.

Also, EC doesn't have a CS degree; and their IT degree cannot be completed inexpensively at all.

I have seen a few colleges do away with their CS degrees and add IT degrees. My husband's degree no longer exists at his alma matter. They moved into a variety of IT degrees instead.

I didn't say EC had a CS degree. Over the years EC has added and discontinued many degrees. I attended there back in 2003 and the degree program I was in no longer exists. They got rid of a bunch of degrees.
