WGU Secondary Math Education
#1
I am thinking about attending to WGU for their masters in secondary math education. I have a few questions though...
a) I know that all that matters are the tests and assignments. What happens if you fail one?
b) This is a masters program that leads to certification. Are there any courses that can be transferred from elsewhere?

b) My understanding is WGU doesn't accept any transfer credit for its masters programs.

If you fail a test (called objective assessments at WGU), your Course Instructor will assign a retake plan. The retake plan will basically be homework you'll have to complete before they approve an additional attempt at the OA. The first two attempts at the OA are included in your tuition. Additional retakes are charged a $60 fee. If you fail an OA more than 4 times, you have to submit an appeal before you can try again. If the appeal fails, you have to switch to a different program that doesn't include that class or leave WGU.

For papers and projects, you have to score "competent" on every section of the grading rubric. If you don't pass, you'll be able to see which sections need work, and the evaluator will tell you what is missing or what needs improvement. You can resubmit papers an unlimited number of times, but if you are way off base, you may be required to set up a meeting with your Course Instructor to go over the assignment.

If you're on Facebook, there's a bunch of WGU groups and they can provide a great deal of insight into their programs. There's also a million threads on Reddit about WGU. If this degree will be used for teaching, please confirm with your state that they will accept this degree. I think you had a thread about NY and they are picky so definitely check with them before you start any out of state program.
