ACE Credit Registry Change? Transcripts Services Ending
(11-09-2020, 06:00 PM)rachel83az Wrote: You can still get badges added from November onward at Sophia, so TESU is unlikely to drop them. They could just say that it's not their problem that the course(s) haven't been put on an official transcript, though.

That's my thinking.  This isn't TESU's issue after all - this is between ACE and Sophia.  And if other course providers are willing to put old credits onto Acclaim, then really it's Sophia who's the problem.

I believe TESU will have to adapt if they want to continue to offer degrees in their current manor. This change doesn't just impact Sophia. It impacts every ACE provider. SDC is on the accepted provider list. It was corrected today.

Sophia confirmed today they have no plans to transfer any previously completed courses done before November 1st to Acclaim. There are no plans to offer back support for this, to allow you to get transcripts through Acclaim (ACE certify).

Send from ACE now, or else lose the credit I guess :/
That means that anything completed after Nov 1st WILL BE accepted? Huh

I only need Statistics so far for my associate.

Question ? With all the changes and uncertainty what would be the safest way to make sure all of your ace credits From Sophia are Accepted at tesu ? I know the obvious way is to apply and enroll but what if your plan is to complete all courses through outside providers like study.com and your plan is to just take the cornerstone and capstone through tesu. Which will be probably around 2 years away. Get what I’m trying to say ? You can’t enroll at tesu until it’s time to take those last two courses. So there’s a possible risk spending a couple of years knocking out provider courses through Study.com Danvar instantcert Sophia coppersmiths ect.

The safest thing to do is apply and enroll. Other than that, it's a crap shoot. They make changes to degrees and their programs every year. If you're 2 years away from capstone, then you just have to keep plugging along and take whatever changes come along.

I would suggest that you enroll at TESU now. It will cost you $50 to register for the Medical Terminology TECEP test which will give you enrollment status for at least 1 year. You don't actually have to take the test, just sign up and pay for it.

You will also get academic evaluations and help with degree planning for free, not to mention you would lock in a course catalog that would exempt you from possible future changes the school may take. There is really very little downside to enrolling now vs waiting for two years.

I was contacted by the department of IT at Sophia -- They are going to manually make my older classes available on Acclaim.

Great! I didn’t know that. Thanks a lot. I can do that and if I’m not finished with everything within a year i can cross that bridge at that time but at least my Ace credits will be secured.

Thanks, this would make more sense than just abandoning the reporting of older credits. That strategy would have been a determent to their company growth.
