I bought the MBA and masters from ENEB and I wish to know if theres a way I could get it validated. Since titulo propios are not recognized by WES as masters degrees, is it possible to transfer the credits from those programs into an accredited program by a recognized university so it gets assessed as a masters degree by WES?
I ask because in the ENEB thread someone talked about transferring them into a UCN DBA program and graduating. I have gone through their program page and they say they accept upto 120 postgrad ects into their DBA. Would it be possible to transfer the credits and graduate with just an MBA instead?

In most countries, save USA and Canada, it's discretionary and up to universities which courses they accept. Generally speaking, though, these are ECTS, valid in the EHEA, and should be transferable to schools that accept ECTS.

You might be able to use it towards a German degree. Maybe. My tiny knowledge of German + Google Translate isn't good enough to decipher the German university system. But it does seem to imply that they are recognized in at least some capacity (I.E. at least as a post-grad certificate) in Germany. This should mean that, in theory, you can transfer the ENEB ECTS to a German university, complete a few more courses, and have a master's.
German universities are often pretty affordable, even for international students. If you can bring in the 60+ ECTS (MBA = 60 + ECTS from the master's), you might just be able to get a German degree of some description for just a couple thousand. The caveat is that the German school system is rigorous and demanding; it might be difficult to find a university that will both accept you and your ENEB credits.

American schools are highly unlikely to award anything from this and most other foreign programs without a foreign credential evaluation from a recognised U.S. credential evaluator beforehand.
As for what UCN will do, it's probably best to just contact them directly and see what they respond back with.

Right; the best you can hope for right now is to contact various universities individually once you have the ECTS to find out what they'll accept them as. There is no big list of possible universities at this time. In theory, because they are ECTS, you should be able to transfer them to another university with relative ease. In practice, just as with the US, any given university may or may not accept a certain credit towards a given degree.

Then there is the reality that many U.S. schools won't look at each ECTS credit as being equal to one another and will ask for you to submit a foreign credential evaluation. A few months ago, I was talking to a registrar from Liberty about this and was told that they require an evaluation on all foreign credits. As long as the evaluation pans out a person should be fine, otherwise the hunt will be on for a school that will accept the credits entirely through their own evaluation process and that may or may not be easy to find.

Absolutely. I should've specified that I meant that transfers between European schools should be relatively easy. American universities often don't even accept graduate credits from other American universities. This is why I suggested looking for a German university. A titulo propio appears to have at least some nominal standing in Germany and Isabel I is an accepted school in Germany. Even if it's only accepted as a graduate certificate, that theoretically should allow a transfer to a German university or a European university in general. The trick is finding the right university.

Is this based on Anabin? Your post made me curious as I'm German and looking into ENEB and possibly transferring but haven't been able to find much about titulo propio in German sources.
Anabin states ( Source):
titulo propio should translate to Master, PGS = Postgraduate study programs.
Isabel I has H+ status:
H+ explanatory text roughly translates to:
Quote:Institutions of this type are recognized (accredited, attested, etc.) as universities in their respective countries of origin in a significant way and, based on this, are considered universities in Germany.
Especially for countries of the former socialist world, research institutes are also included, as they offer the possibility to earn doctorates and habilitations. Since these qualifications are equivalent to those at universities, the research institutes are also assigned to this category.
Attention!
The classification as H+ merely means that degrees obtained at this institution can be subject to an examination of equivalence in higher education. This does not imply a preliminary decision as to whether or not the degrees obtained at this institution can be considered equivalent to German university degrees.
While the ENEB degrees aren't listed in the Anabin database I searched for other titulo propio degrees from Spain and all of them are rated as PGS (post-graduate studies) which is one rank below habilitation. The rank was also awarded for degrees with considerably less hours (400) whereas ENEB has 1500 IIRC.
Based on this my impression is that transfers shouldn't be that difficult. They also offer an evaluation of the degree which I think might help quite a bit:

As of now I'm not entirely sure if I'm going to pursue the ENEB route (only want the degree for insurance purposes) but in case I do I'll gladly follow up here with the evaluation of the central office.

Yes, I based my posts on Anabin. Unfortunately, my knowledge of German isn't sufficient to go digging around in the German internet to see if I could find something more substantial. It definitely appears to give some weight to ENEB/Isabel I degrees but it's still difficult to determine exactly where one can transfer the credits to for a degree that will be better-recognized (in the US).
Thank you so much for posting the KMK.org link! I'm sure that will be extremely useful to me in the future.
