Normally, it's $25 to upgrade a class to a take it for credit and then $400 after the class is over if you want to have it put on your transcript. Right now, it's only $99 after the class is over if you decide to put it on your transcript. There is no $25 fee for classes that are taken for credit right now. This fee is waived for any class that starts on the 18th or self-paced classes that are upgraded before the 25th of August.

That's the normal procedure. If you catch it before the deadline, it's free.
Edit: Sorry, my browser had not refreshed. Did not see rachel's answer.

Is your account verified with your ID or are you still waiting on that? If it's verified, you may need to contact earnedadmission@asu.edu to find out why your courses aren't upgrading.

So I understand it right that I need to do the coursework every week and not can wait for another week to complete it? (This are my first courses on this way). And I need a portable webcam for the proctored exam?

Yes every week there are deadlines. The courses I took the first week, had a two week deadline, but they also added week two with the same deadline. Then after that everything was due every Tuesday, every week. The courses I took were 2-5 hours per week of actual time each.
The webcam is only really needed for the proctored final, which needs to be done either on a desktop or laptop computer.

Right, every week you have to do that week's assignment(s). If you miss the assignment(s), you cannot go back and do them again; it's too late. They usually aren't much. For most courses, you watch an hour or two of videos and then do that week's quiz. Sometimes there are short writing assignments. For astronomy (and presumably chemistry) there are also math questions that need to be completed.
If you have a laptop with an integrated webcam, you do not need a portable one to take the final. You can get one if you want but all you need is the ability to pick up your computer and scan the room with the camera. It's a bit awkward at times but not overly difficult.

Thank you so much, yes, I have a laptop. Do you take notes during the videos?
