Hey All!
Since the Institute's Ethics course makes an exception within the General Education section, it looks like you end up with 1 credit (total of 19 for the E: GE Electives).
What have you guys been doing for a course to fulfill this? Take a regular 3 credit GE course and just be over credits?
Thanks!

I thought the ethics course was now 3 credits. Anyway, people usually have a few extra credits and it doesn't come up. There are a few 1 credit courses out there, like some of the TEEX courses.
NanoDegree: Intro to Self-Driving Cars (2019)
Coursera: Stanford Machine Learning (2019)
TESU: BA in Comp Sci (2016)
TECEP:Env Ethics (2015); TESU PLA:Software Eng, Computer Arch, C++, Advanced C++, Data Struct (2015); TESU Courses:Capstone, Database Mngmnt Sys, Op Sys, Artificial Intel, Discrete Math, Intro to Portfolio Dev, Intro PLA (2014-16); DSST:Anthro, Pers Fin, Astronomy (2014); CLEP:Intro to Soc (2014); Saylor.org:Intro to Computers (2014); CC: 69 units (1980-88)

Interesting! Perhaps bc I am in the 2019A catalog?
Even so, thank you for your reply, Dave! I didn't think the TEEX course feel under Gen Ed, thinking it more went into Free Electives. No matter, I appreciate your reply!!!!

CarpeDiem8, you can take any of the cheap onlinedegree.com or Saylor.org ones as long as it doesn't duplicate your courses. OR if your Sophia Conflict Resolution course doesn't duplicate the 1 credit Sophia Essentials of Managing Conflict course, you can take that. Just make sure the courses haven't expired for Saylor or whichever provider you're going with.

The ethics was 2Ul at one point then Ace changed it 3LL. So it isn't about catalog year it is based on when you took it for ace recommendation.

Many people end up with extra credits in the GE area because maybe the math course they took was 4cr, or they took a 1cr course, or they converted from a quarter-system school and are short .08cr or any number of things. If you're short exactly 1cr, you can take The Essentials of Managing Conflict from Sophia - it's free, and 1cr in Social Sciences (SOS-240).
Otherwise, just take a 3cr course. Trying to get to EXACTLY 60cr is not really useful, as extra credits will just be pushed down to Free Electives (or rather, make the Free Electives area need fewer credits).

It's not related to the TESU catalog year, but when you completed The Institutes course. If it was after the ACE review that bumped it to 3cr, you might be in luck.
