Ended up with an A in 6501, Information Policy and Management.
It was a very frustrating course, very thrown-together. We had a big final project, and I guess I did well since I got an A in the course, but we were never given a grade or feedback on the project.
I complained here early on in the course that it was just a boring business course with little or nothing to do with cybersecurity/policy, and it didn't get better from there. It really is just a class about business knowledge-management and nothing else.
Grading the final papers in 6725 was hectic. Tons of students in that class, and we only had a week to do the grading. With these folks being at the grad level, I am surprised at how terrible some of them were. But there were certainly lots of really great papers too. It looks like they'll be asking me back as a TA next term, and I'll likely accept.
I'll be taking two classes next term. One of the two that I was going to take was cancelled last moment, and since I've already taken all the other courses available for the policy course, they said I could take one of two course options from the OMS Analytics program (not sure why they didn't just offer something from one of the other two non-policy OMNS Cybersecurity tracks?) -- either Digital Marketing or Business Fundamentals for Analytics. The last thing I want is another business course right now, so I went with Digital Marketing. Another class that has nothing to do with cybersecurity or policy... This is an interesting degree program
The other course is "Privacy for Professionals."

Interesting, I wonder who it is! I am feeling your frustrating now with PUBP 6501. I see what you mean by, it is just a business management class and nothing to do with Cyber Security. So I am still contemplating if I should stick with the IS track or move forward and go to the Policy track. Wish me luck, those quizzes in 6501 is stressful.

Unfortunately that class doesn't get better. When infosec is mentioned, it's surface level and outdated. I can't believe they offered it again this term, I didn't talk to a single student from the first term that didn't agree that it needed a major overhaul.

Wrapped up my midterm for Digital Marketing -- 100%!!
I was definitely surprised by this (and benefited from a couple of lucky guesses). The course has been very easy and light on work so far, and the mid term and final are worth a combined 60% of the grade. So with the coursework being so simple, i thought for sure the exam would be very challenging. But it's probably the easiest exam I've taken at GT so far. This class is a breeze, which helps take the sting out of having to take this class that has nothing to do with my major.
Privacy for Professionals midterm isn't until the end of the month. Like digital marketing, the coursework has been very easy. The mid and final are worth 70% of the grade though, so even higher stakes. The content of this course is much more involved than DM, so I imagine the exams won't be a cakewalk (can't imagine I'd be so lucky to have two classes to breeze through). Plus this is the fist time they've offered this course, so there could be some kinks to work out in the exams. But I have time to study at least.

BAD NEWS: I did poorly on the Privacy for Professionals midterm
GOOD NEWS: The entire class did terrible and they curved the grade, so I maintain my A in the class, for now
I'm hoping they make some adjustments to the way the build the final with this in mind (as well as on my end I have a better understanding of the type of studying I need to do). I really like the class and the professor. It's well organized, and super informative, and relevant to my work. But that exam was something else.
At least I got lucky this time. The course is brand new to the OMS programs and we're the first cohort for it, so chalk it up to the kinks still needing to be worked out I suppose.

I got another 100% on the Digital Marketing final, and my grade was high enough that i skipped the last project in the course and was able to keep an A in the course. Easiest class ever. Completely useless, but I appreciate the easy A and credits. For reasons I've gone over already, this course is usually not available to Cybersec students, and this was an exception for my cohort due to problems with a different course. It's usually an OMS Analytic course. If their courses are like this, they are spoiled.
I also managed to keep my A in Privacy for Professionals. I literally had no idea how I would do in this course, since the final was worth 40% of the grade. But I pulled it off. I really liked the class and it was relevant and I learned a lot, but I wish they would mix in some projects or something so that the exams weren't so heavy.
I finished grading all the papers for the course i TA in. I am finally done with the spring term!

Finally updated the Omni Transcript to include last term, but it's getting to the point where the transcript needs a complete redesign to accommodate all the random credits I have. A problem mostly only us folks on the forum will ever have.
A week into the new term, I'm enjoying my one summer course so far and like that it is finally relevant to my program, and also challenging. Won't be coasting to an easy A like digital marketing or the other more management focused courses like 6501, but I will actually learn a lot. As I've said before, business programs may be easy as hell and take no effort, but they're so boring and dull as hell that they're hard to get through. A challenge is good, even if it ends up dinging my GPA.
