I want to share to the group that I find out that google IT support professional from Coursera qualify for ACE credit (for 12 college credits). I just submit for approval and I feel it should be good for approval similar for Teex cybersecurity credit. The coursera course is free for first 7 days. After, it will charge $49.

I'd like to see how Charter Oak brings it in to a non- IT degree!

In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 6 semester hours in computer information systems; 3 semester hours in computer networking; and 3 semester hours in cybersecurity fundamentals (9/19).

If you finish it within the free period can you still submit to ACE? Even if not, $49 for 12cr is a steal.
Yes, when you finished and you get a certification from Coursera. You can submit for ACE credit approval. I finished within the 7 days trail. I would think you have a background in it then?
How about for non-techie?
Also if you happen to have Rakuten/Ebates on your browser you can get 10% cash back on the course fee.
I get lots of cash back and coupon suggestions from Rakuten:

On the Network or BSIT degrees, it counts for 3cr in Cloud Foundations.
On the Cloud degree, it counts for those 3cr plus 3cr for Cloud Applications, and 3cr for Cloud Deployment & Operations
The bad news for my husband is that he already has the AWS cert, and those are exactly the same.

They use to anyway. Then they started with that "Approved Provider" nonsense.

It's interesting - they've partnered with some community colleges too. I noticed one of the featured course grads (Solo) went through Dallas County Community College District: https://www.dcccd.edu/news/2019/pages/vi...ewsItem=52
I've yet to find where it fits in, but it appears they give some credit for it. It's so new, they may not have updated their site. DCCCD has transfer agreements (if the course fits) with Collin College, UTD, etc.. Collin College's new 4yr Cybersecurity degree just launched and they seemed pretty flexible on some of the credit they'd accept from certifications. I've been eyeing this program for my son. It'd be great to earn some nearly free credit for his degree!

I just searched for the word "Google" on each IT degree, and it said " any Google Certified Professional certification" next to these requirements for the listed degrees.

My Advisor confirmed that TESU isn’t accepting it. She mentioned Cisco, Microsoft and other certification courses were, but not the new Google one.
