Hi everyone - I've scoured over hours and hours of posts here about the LA Capstone mentors and it seems like Prof Cody is who I'd be lucky to have as my mentor.
I was planning on doing the Nov term but I see he's in there for the October term - what's the likelihood that mentors may be doing back to back terms?
Now I'm really anxious.
For online in Oct term it's:
Cody
Haydel
Black
Moore
and Cody is filled already so this isn't even an option to do it this term.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I had Hansen. Not much help but the grading was easy.

I'm hoping to get in for Hansen in November, just waiting for some Financial Aid stuff to get squared away.

Don't expect much help. Our class was supposedly the first under the new re-written course. She couldn't answer most questions but I didn't get anything less than 100% on anything I turned in.

I had Ciacco and he taught a few terms after I had my capstone, so I think it is likely if your first choice is filled they may teach the capstone again the following term. I suspect a few teachers really like that class because of the variety of capstone topics. Personally, I can't recommend Ciacco enough. He was fantastic! The only downside is that he does not give reference letters for graduate school unless you take numerous classes from him. I earned the top grade in my class and he still would not write one for me. However, I felt he was very fair with everyone and did not hear complaints.

Good to know. I'm inclined to say that this is the kind of mentor I would lean towards over one who gives more help but is a harsher grader (I feel like I can figure things out on my own mostly, but want to make sure to get an A)
