I'm on track to finish my Liberal Arts degree from Excelsior this semester. I see that Charter Oak will grant between 18 and 24 credits for GRE depending on subject.
Im wondering if I can enroll at Charter Oak, transfer over my bachelors from Excelsior, take the GRE, then finish up a second degree quickly. Anyone done this?

Actually it looks like I can.

15 need to be upper level, and the 24 credit GREs count for 9 upper level. so i would just need 6 more UL credit to get the degree in Computer Science for example.

There's no degree in computer science there. It's a general studies degree with a computer science concentration.

So are you trying to get a BALS/BSLS and then turn around and get a computer science degree from somewhere? If so, you should just stop your BALS/BSLS, and get the degree you want. Why waste time and money on a degree you obviously don't want/need?

I intend on getting a masters degree after my liberal arts degree. the second degree idea is pure vanity and ego, and nothing more. Getting the first degree is meaningful to me in that it represents the completion of a decade's long pursuit. Will it have any impact on my career whether I have a computer science or liberal arts degree? Not likely. It just sounds cool to say I have two bachelors.

How's this going? I also want multiple degrees just for the sake of accomplishment.
My student is an absolute genius with math so I'm thinking about starting her down this path.

Well my first degree is just about finished. Just waiting on my last 2 study.com tests to be graded and sent over to Excelsior for credit approval, then I get my diploma.
Maybe I do the Psychology second degree from Charter Oak, since I could take the GRE for half of those credits.
