Steve suggested earlier a new thread be started about this for everyone's benefit.
CLEP
There's a free copy of Peterson's CLEP Success available online:
http://www.petersons.com/airforce/clepce...sponsor=8.
I suggest using Internet Explorer to open it, as Firefox froze up on me.
The "Read Book Now" button takes you to the book with all general exams, which includes a pre-test, subject overview, and post-test. At the bottom are 17 full-length exams and answers.
It's a nice supplement to instantcert.com due to the full-length exams, which even the official CLEP handbook from the College Board doesn't provide. Even more helpful for exams not yet covered by instantcert.
DSST/Dantes
Also available is the official DSST book:
http://www.petersons.com/airforce/dsst.asp?sponsor=8.
Same deal with IE.
It might be a good idea to save these files to your hard drive in case they decide to password secure these in the future.

I'm having a hard time saving it. Do you know what I should select under:
Save as type:
It has "Web Page, complete (*.htm;*.html)" listed.
Encoding:
It has "Western European (ISO)" listed.
When I save it under these default settings it saves it in some wierd looking text. Does anybody know what settings I should use?

In order to save it you need the full version of Adobe Acrobat. If you just have Acrobat Viewer it wouldn't allow you to save the file.
I have Acrobat 5.0, and the trick for me was this:
- On the bottom left corner there's a small button with a plus sign in it (when you roll your mouse over it, it says "Show Toolbars"), select it.
- The Acrobat toolbar shows up, and just click on the Save button.
If you need a full version of Acrobat, you might want to do a bit torrent search and download it. It will always be useful.
Good Luck!

This trick worked for me, and I only have Acrobat Reader 7--just the Reader, not the full version of Acrobat...

Since saving the files with Acrobat Reader 7.0 seems to work, maybe this is how I was able to open it too? Try downloading the newest version here and try again:

The site is intended for military personnel. Even if you register, you'll be asked for an activation code only military personnel have; I think it has something to do with their base.
At least we get to use the books and sample exams.
