Thank you very much for this. None are offered near me right now(in AZ) but I will keep an eye out for them in the future.

A few corrections:
critical asset risk management was upper division until 2016, now it's lower
enhanced all hazards incident management was lower division until 2016, now its 2 UL

I'm blind it looks like there a few for credit ones coming up in my neck of the woods

Hey life long learning, did you have to take those courses for work or just wanted to for your own purposes? Can someone take and pass those classes with little to no background knowledge in the area?

I took some for work and some just because I wanted to on my own time.  I even took some on vacations to Las Vegas and one in Maine.

They give a pre-test (20-questions) then the 16 hours of teaching the course and then the Post Exam.   Often the post-exam (20 Q) is 90% the same.  They are not trying to fail anyone.  They like folks from many different disciplines.  Volunteers, CERT, Police, Fire, EM, hospitals, security, etc.

The 4 TEEX Sports courses are OK and I took them all.  They are NOT ACE colleges credits when I took them. Angry  Look at ACE website for each course "IF" that is the only reason you are taking a TEEX F2F course.  Most are NOT.

That being said I did receive an email today that I am now receiving The National Sport Safety and Security Professional Development Certificate

from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4),  Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (TEEX/NERRTC).

This is new and 100% unexpected. Big Grin

Hey!! That's awesome, congratulations!! I did look and found that the sports ones weren't for college credit, but I was excited to see something - if it wasn't hubby's graduation week, I would probably sign up and do it just for sh*ts and giggles. Glad you liked them. Were they mostly police? The description on my local class days it's targeted toward police officers.

Really depends on the course.  The 4 TEEX Sports courses that I went too were hosted at a major university.  They are semi geared to Div I sports, but it APPLY to ALL sports events (private, gov., CC, etc).  In my classes were 1/3 college EM types; 1/3 police/campus security types; a couple of professors; and one-third OTHER (like me).  I had a Big 10, PAC12, and Dallas Cowboys instructors; along with TEEX instructors.  In NC with all your big Universes, I bet they have done these in the past.  My guess is they will again in the future.

You get a Certificate from Texas A&M (TEEX is a branch) for each course.  In the sports side University of Southern Mississippi (USM) is apart of the mix.
