Good evening everyone,
I tried looking for this answer on this forum but couldn't find it so hopefully one of you pro's can answer for me..
For shmoop, if you take an ACE-recommended class and either fail the course or don't achieve the 70% grade that you would need for it to transfer, can you retake the class? Or after one time are you never again allowed to try to retake the course? If you can retake it, do you know how many times you are allowed to retake the course (not the final test, but the actual course).
Thank you all in advance - you have been a great help to me on this journey...

Well if you take the final and don't score enough, you don't "fail the course". You just don't have enough to get course credit. So then you retake the final again when you're ready, and hopefully score enough. Then you submit and get credit.

Okay but what about worst case scenario, after final exam attempt #2, you still don't have the 70% to pass. Can you retake the entire course or are you not allowed to retake?

Shmoop college course rules are listed here (bottom) of page:
https://www.shmoop.com/college-credit/ . From their page the answer is no, you cannot if you have already taken all the tests twice.
"I flubbed. Can I retake a test?
Yes. But just once. This may be the land of the free, but we're not handing out college credit to anyone with a computer. You'll get one chance to retake each unit test and final exam, and then...that's it."

You can use the course material while taking the exam, so... for most classes, you should be able to pass on your second try if not the first. (Lit courses can be a challenge though.)
