I spent a lot of time pulling each syllabus for SL courses and wrote down the point breakdown for each course. (Current as of 2/25/2017)

This may be of interest to you if you're trying to decide which courses you can pass without a final, or which courses require written/speeches/etc. I have it in excel so I can sort easy on my end, but I can't copy that well- so here's a copy/paste of the whole table, followed by a link to my blog where I spell out a few strategies and it looks much nicer.

Yup, those Micro and Macro economics classes suck - way too many tests and the material is presented in the most boring way possible.

Let's keep in mind that I was an economics major at a good school and I just couldn't complete them without loosing my will to live. I just took the CLEPs Smile

Thank you very much.

I despited microeconomics, finished it a little while ago. But now the 6 exam total courses feel easy.
We are all on the same side here, trying to better our lives....so let's get along and help each other out.

Learn a trade. Gain technical skills. Make money, then use this money to get a degree...if you have the desire.

My son is in SL Financial Accounting now. The 4 exams are 150 points each, Midterm 200, final 200. That's different than your spreadsheet. Another important difference one should consider is the amount of time they give you for the exams. For example, in Accounting 1 & 2, the exams were 25 questions each and you have 2 hours to complete each of them. In Financial Accounting, there are 25 questions and you only have 75 minutes to complete the exam. It's a real time crunch and one needs to have knowledge of the material in order to pass the exams in that amount of time.

Off-topic: Can anyone tell me the number of questions and time limit for the exams in Managerial Accounting? If it's like Financial, we may skip it. If it's like Accounting 1 & 2, then we'll consider it.

Another off-topic: The amount of errors on the Financial Accounting exams is unacceptable. My husband and I have looked over my son's exams, looked up the correct answers, done the calculations, etc., and there are quite a few errors on the exam. Accounting 1&2 exams did not have nearly as many errors as Financial Accounting exams have.
I came to this forum researching for my now 17-yr-old son who was earning credits via testing and online courses. He completed TESU's BUS-421 in March 2018, the capstone for the TESU BSBA GM degree.  Below are the courses he took:
Study.com: Business 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 109, 113, 121, 308, 309; Economics 101, 102; Finance 101, 102; History 103, 104, 106, 108; Math 103; Political Science 102; Religion 101; Geology 101; Nutrition 101; Chemistry 101; English 305
SL: Intro to Communications, Accounting 1&2, Financial Accounting
ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, PreCalculus, Statistics
TEEX: Cybersecurity 101, 102, 103
Sophia: Developing Effective Teams
312N-H Ethics & the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct
Community College: English 101 & 102, Calculus 1
TESU: MAT-105 Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP, BUS-421-OL BSBA Capstone Course (January 2018 term)

You should put that in it's own thread- that's valuable feedback and won't get seen at the bottom of this one.

Edit to add: I went in to make the updates to Financial Accounting and I see that they still have the old syllabus on their site. If things don't go your way, you could argue that the syllabus in effect isn't the one you signed up for. Wink I like the lower point finals, better chance to pass imo.

LOL, I was thinking along the same lines... kind of... but I did read her blog on this before, so I knew what was up.

I love reading her blogs, and getting some SL coupons I didn't use before...
