No need to pray, it'll come to you quickly. As again, work on the General Education courses and get those final AOS courses figured out.

Cool beans, that's awesome. That's the main reason I mention Technical Studies if it's going to be the BSAST and the person has funky "trade" credits coming in.

Here's the problem with this degree; while it used more of your credits, the remaining credits you need are more expensive to take. So you need fewer, but more expensive credits. As is, it would cost double the price to get the BSAST over the BSBA.

Here's the breakdown of that:
1) none of your credits are UL, so you have to take 4 UL courses in your area of study - you will have to take those at TESU
2) you have to take Physics I & II w/labs, or Chemistry I & II w/labs. The I part is ok, the labs can be pricey. But the II is where it gets expensive.

The best way to offset this, is to see if you can get the great pricing with TESU that looks to be available through the study.com affiliation, and pay for the Comprehensive plan. If you can get the comprehensive plan at $6,350, then you can take 36cr at TESU in a single year. That would include the 4 UL TS courses you need, the capstone, the 2 science w/labs, and then any other 5 courses you wanted to take there.

This pricing looks to expire on 6/30/18, so you'd want to sign up prior to that date. That does at least give you time to try to come up with the money, since you'd have to pay it at signup.

That also gives you time to do all of the other courses you need to take.

I personally would take ALEKS math immediately - Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Precalculus and Statistics. That will fulfill your math requirements for $20/mo (so I imagine for you it would be done in a month). Take the free Ethics course. See if there are any Saylor exams that you think you could take and pass quickly; they're only $25.

Thank you for the info and degree plans Dfrecore. Are there no alternative/cheap means to get those UL credits? They are too expensive in TESU. Sad

Of course there are! You just need to find them, my question to you is, how many years have you been in that industry? What Engineering again?
If you don't want to spend that much, you can do the PLA route entirely for the AOS or the required courses. That's the cheapest route + capstone.
I mean, it will cost you $389 for 12 credits and then it's $221 for 6 subsequent credits, if you need 6 more, another $221. THAT'S CHEAP!
You need to know what PLA is, here's the info on their webpage: https://www.tesu.edu/tuition/pla-tuition.cfm

I had no idea that you can get THAT many credits from TESU in a single year for relatively cheap with the comprehensive tuition plan. If we do BA CS instead of BS DA, might be cheaper than doing a bunch of ULs elsewhere and then pay for residency waiver. Plus, interesting electronics courses that are hard to find.

For a degree fanatic who wants to get on the comprehensive plan, it maybe possible to hit two degrees with that. A BSBA with just the capstone fee.
Then use the remainder of the credits/fees for the comprehensive plan, to splurge on a BSAST or different degree... but that's just me thinking to myself!

Yes! I have also wondered if one can get both the BA Comp Sci and the BS Data analytics, using a combination of statistics.com and TESU. Or wasn't there something about not being able to get 2 degrees from the same School at TESU? Otherwise, would probably make sure to not get 24 credits of one before the first degree is conferred. Hmmm.

You can't overlap the BA and BS at the same conferral. You could do a BA with 2 AOS, like Math/CS, though.

Also the Statistics.com classes that ACE recommends for CS credit (like Social Network Analysis), TESU is transcribing them in as "DSI-###", the data sci category, so they won't be applied for CS, according to advising, who took the matter to the dean of the program. However, the ones that are *obviously* programming: R, Python, R/SQL (all approved electives at Stats.com for the TESU degree)...those *do* count as CS if you were to do a CS certificate along with the BS-data. And another odd one - TESU offers their own DSI - Data Visualization (don't recall the exact name), BUT that class doesn't fit in the AOS, it could only be used as a free elective. Go figure.

So would only one course at statistics.com be a source of relatively cheap UL credit for the BACS degree: the SQL one? I know that Hadoop comes in as LL Sad
