SL: which of these classes can be knocked out quickly (SL Newbie):
#1
I've been waiting for a month when we would be in town for the entire month so my son can tackle the TESU Oral Communication requirement via Straighterline. It's possible MAY may be our month! My teen is a "study.com guy" and our subscription has expired. We're new to SL. I've been told it's a good idea to get his speeches done prior to signing up for the course, so we'll set to work on that this week (I hope we get started - this course may kill my shy guy!). If he can knock out the speech (COM101), which of the following SL Courses are quick & easy to complete (assume no prior knowledge of the subjects):

Intro to Speech (this is the first one he'll attempt at SL)
Principles of Financial Accounting(TESU) - ACC-101 Accounting I - ACC101 (SL)
Principles of Managerial Accounting (TESU) - ACC-102 Accounting II - ACC102(SL)
Microeconomics (leaning toward Study.com on this one)
Business Communication
PLUS he needs 2 courses in the TESU BSBA GM AOS. He has management and marketing covered, so he needs something in the finance or accounting areas and they do not have to be UL. Any easy SL courses that fit here?

One person suggested: Speech, Financial Acct, & Business Communication as the easiest of the list.
I know Rowan555 has a teen whose done SL business classes, so I'd love to hear from them as well.

Other SL questions:
Are quizzes, midterm, and final exams multiple choice?
Is it true that one gets unlimited attempts on the first quiz, but only one attempt on subsequent quizzes?
Can someone send me the 3 writing assignments for SL Business Communications?
A very nice person sent me the SL speech assignments from 2016. Does anyone have links to sample speeches and outlines so we can see examples of what SL is looking for? Have the assignments changed in the last year?
Any other SL tips and/or tips on the classes listed above?

Thanks!

All multiple choice, and yes, you can repeat the first test, the rest you get one go at. Most of the material comes right from the texts. My son did intro to communication at SL and I can tell you that I don't think they really even watch the speeches. The last speech requires a sentence outline with citations - focus on that part and don't worry much about the video. Honestly, if you just sit and read the paper while looking up at the camera every few seconds you'll ace it. I think the assignments are still the same - the informational speech is about a holiday or cultural tradition, and the persuasive speech is to convince someone to donate or volunteer for your chosen charity.

For business communication my son used Saylor - it didn't require any papers but WGU still accepted it. He took the rest of the courses at SL and spent about 4 days on each one, not including the final. He did the two accounting courses you listed in one week. Economics have a lot more tests than most SL courses, but it's still a lot less hassle than Study.com.

Any other questions, just let me know!
Here Researching for my son, who has done the following:
Community College: Intro to Philosophy, Fundamentals of IT, English Comp 1
Saylor: Intro to Business, Principles of  Marketing, Corporate Communication
Shmoop: US History 2 (WGU won't accept this)
ALEKS: Int. Algebra, College Algebra
Study.com: Personal Finance, Principles of Finance, HR Management, Global Business, Advanced Operations Management
Straighterline: US History 2, Environmental Science, US History, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English Comp 2, Principles of Management, Business Law, Business Ethics, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Accounting 1,Communication, Managerial Accounting, Statistics
Ed4Credit: Managing Information Systems
Sophia: Project Management
WGU: Bachelors in HR Management

Second son is currently attending Penn Foster for his high school diploma, then on to Ashworth for An Associates in Criminal Justice
