Email advising and ask them to plan the Shmoop courses into your eval. That should answer the question about how they'll transfer in.

I submitted the transcript on January 3rd. Would emailing them asking them to plan the courses into my eval be faster that waiting for the eval? I don't know much about this end of things.

It typically took just a business day or two to get something planned in. I always got things planned in before I did them. Helps a lot to see them in the eval, filling in the requirement you expect.

Thanks for the tip! I've just sent an email. Now hopefully I can get the last portion of my degree planned out a month earlier Big Grin

I don't think they can plan in anything until after you've gotten your eval back.

Well, in any case it doesn't hurt to ask Big Grin I'll let everybody know what they say.

Oh, my.

Here's what I wrote to TESU's academic advising:

Quote:I'm writing to ask for help in planning a few specific courses into my evaluation. Here are the courses and their ACE course numbers:

Drugs in Literature SHMO-0019
Holocaust Literature SHMO-0020
Literature in the Media SHMO-0022
Modernist Literature SHMO-0023
Shakespeare's Plays SHMO-0025
The Bible as Literature SHMO-0027
Women's Literature SHMO-0028

Thank you for your time and kind attention, and I look forward to your response.

Here is their response:

Quote:We have solved your issue
Michael,

Where are these courses coming from? I am not positive what SHMO is?

So did you respond and tell them they were from Shmoop? It was a reasonable, straightforward question. Sure, they might have been able to find them on ACE, but it's not surprising they didn't want to do the legwork.

Dealing with TESU advising takes some patience. After a while you get the hang of how to ask them questions.

I did reply and explain that, and got a response. It was... unsatisfactory :/ Basically they just dumped most of the courses I asked about into "LIT 299 Special Topics." I've just replied, appealing four of their determinations.
