There is this tiny college near me called John Wesley University. I have seen this place all my life but have never really given it too much thought. You can't see it from the road, all you see is a small sign. I decided to be nosey and look into it. Their prices are insane- $430/credit hour for traditional classes and $330/credit hour for online classes. And a crazy amount of misc. fees. To top it off they aren't regionally accredited, they do have an accreditation through the Association of Biblical Higher Education. It looks like mostly what they do is prepare people for jobs within churches- music minister, youth minister, missionary, etc... or Christian school teaching jobs. Now those are perfectly acceptable jobs, but they don't pay enough to justify the cost! To me this pricing almost seems unethically high. And there is a reason they don't many campus pictures on their site, they are pretty much in the middle of the woods. :p Is this normal? Are there many other colleges without regional accreditation with tuition like?
