Which school? Which degree? New to forum

All right, the non-external subjects in a concentration might be a deal-breaker unless you can use UExcels to complete the requirements. However...

POAG does NOT require a 12 hour residency. They try to make it look like it would be cheaper to do that, but when you run the numbers it is cheaper to just use the other discounts they offer.

Excelsior Partner Pricing

Taking just a 3-hour Capstone

$0 to apply
$1095 Multi-Source enrollment fee
$1230 = $410 x 3 hours tuition
$450 graduation fee
Total $2775

Taking a 6-hour Capstone

$0 to apply
$1095 Multi-Source enrollment fee
$2460 = $410 x 6 hours tuition
$405 graduation fee
Total $3960

Taking 12 hours

$0 to apply
$0 enrollment fee
$4920 = $410 x 12 hours tuition
$130 graduation fee
Total $5050
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

KayV,

Thanks for sharing the Math, in my POAG agreement (2013) it clearly stated the discount was based on a requirement for 12 credits in 2012 the requirement was lower and on inquiry I was informed that if I graduated before the 12 credits I would need to pay full tuition at $460 a credit hour. Since Financial Aid paid for the courses in my case deferring the enrollment fee was beneficial. Enrolling without being a member of POAG does look like you come out better in the end. The current rate is $510 per credit hour for non partnership enrollment along with the per year fee of $495 plus the enrollment fee. Only for this forum and contributors like yourself I'd have paid a lot more money in getting my education.
Don't forget that gaining college credit by taking exams is one of the reason's we're here. That's mainly possible through the flashcards made available by the owner of this forum : InstantCert Plus of course your hard work in learning and reviewing

Wow! I couldn't get this to open until today - some kind of bug with the computer I was using. But all I can say is this is amazing. I spent most the day today mapping out where I think credits will transfer in and trying to determine what courses will be "safe" to take between now and when my official transfer evaluation is complete. I did finish my Ethics class at the Institutes just today so that is one down. Thank you so much for helping with this. It confirms what I was trying to figure out for so many hours on my own today. I think I can feel confident in starting quite a few of these this week. Thank you so much!
