I was looking at the WVUP BOG degree, but was turned off by the 15 credit residency requirement. I may look into this as well. In the description it says a capstone course is required. Have you investigated this at all?
Well I remember reading the board of governors program requirements for all West Virginia schools.....
I took a Snapshot of the reqs but don't remember from where....
Petition for exception to the residency requirements may be made to the Chief Academic Officer of the host institution.
Now, I haven't have to petition for anything. I'm just waiting until I may apply for graduation (OCTOBER 2016) and graduate December 2016) to find out.
Hopefully this academic residency situation is forgotten about.
My conversation with WVNCC.
Looks like I am doing good and will graduate soon.
Maybe they took it easy on me due to being in the military?
Whatever the reason I am glad to have this done.
Will post more as it gets closer to graduation
Looks like i will only be paying graduation fees at WVNCC.
Life Long Learning Wrote:AAS BOG in West Virginia is a great deal. In adult education West Virginia is a LEADER. Most progressives States suck in adult education.
I don't know how you came to that conclusion, but look at the states the Big 3 and SUNY Empire State College are in. These were the first public schools to focus entirely on adult education. Also, look at the state Frederick Community College is in along with University of Maryland University College.
To the OP, congratulations.

Frederick Community College sells FEMA credits as their own so YOU can transfer them, but FCC itself does NOT consider them resident credits.:puke: Try using them toward a FCC general degree (no go). They will not count as FCC resident credits. Clackamas CC does.
West Virginia colleges are real B&M. The big three and UMUC not so much.
For REAL B&M colleges West Virginia is a LEADER.

Had advisers be switched on me, I asked about graduation and was a bit worried when they said I needed to complete some requirements.
Luckily once the new adviser reviewed my transcripts I was told to apply for graduation.
Submitted my application - was successfully received by the school.
Currently waiting to graduate.
Again I did not take any classes with the school. I transferred every class in.
I have been all over the site and I can't find a way to apply. How do you do it?
Slowly, but surely working towards a BA in Psychology through TESC.
