Needing help
#11
EC is going to be very expensive for the BSBM, because there is a 6cr capstone course - $3000 for that one course alone. I wouldn't do it.

For TESU, here are the courses you can take for the Entrepreneurship degree:

Small Business Management or Intro to Entrepreneurship
Intro to Small Business/Entrepreneurship - SL, CSU-Global, SL, CollegePlus or Propero/Pearson

Small Business Finance (preferred) or Managerial Finance
Corporate Finance - PF (not sure on this, but I think it will work)

Small Business Marketing (preferred) or Marketing Research
Marketing Strategy for Small Business - CSU-Global
Market/Marketing Research - PF, CSU-G

Electives
Human Resource Management - DSST, study.com
Cost Accounting - SL's Managerial Accounting
Entrepreneurship in the Global Age - CSU-Global
Advertising - TECEP
Consumer Behavior - CSU-G, PF
Retailing - CSU-G, PF
Sales Management - TECEP, CSU-G
Supply Chain - PF, CSU-G
Merchandise Planning & Buying - PF

A couple of things to remember:
1) you should get everything pre-approved, as no one on this forum that I know of has gotten the BSBA in Entrepreneurship degree, so we can't 100% confirm that the above will work
2) I think CSU-Global limits the number of CBE's you can take, you need to make sure before you plan this portion of your degree if you want to use them

Good luck!

High_Order1 Wrote:What I am trying to say, is that it's admirable you recognize the value of an education, and of a degree in particular. But you will find this to be a difficult route, because you won't know any of the stuff that is the cornerstone of a DSST/DANTES/CLEP kind of exam.

But, I could be wrong, I don't know you. I just want you to be successful.

EDIT - I forgot. Look at SCORE and micromentor for help, as well!

High_Order1, sincerely, thanks for looking out for kids like me. I know the tests will be hard and part of the reason I'm putting myself here is to learn how to cope with large amounts of information I know nothing about in a sufficient way. I don't know what that will do to me, but we'll see. The goal for me in the end is not to be hired solely off of this degree, but rather have it as more of a bargaining chip to say "I called my shot with that so you can expect me to follow through on xyz, and that's why you should fund me." I think learning truly is irreplaceable and the intrinsic education you speak of is something I plan to pursue for the rest of my life, all around the world and from various mentors.

To make the most of this experience I would love your advice on how to pass these tests well and endure the experience as best as possible. I've reconsidered my stance on solely using tests, and would love any advice on daily practices that have helped you get through your tests. After all, until I earn my degree this is about all I have going on every day.

Again, I'd just like to say thanks again to guys like you and bjcheung77 for helping me and I'll look for opportunities wherever I can spot them to pass it on. Really, I don't know how many of my friends, co-workers, etc. could use your help but I know there are a lot. Thanks again.
