I wanted to share this earlier, but I had somehow wiped my computer cleaned and could not find it. But I came across it this morning in my Google Drive files when I was looking for something else for another forumer. It's a formula plug in for ALEKS. It looks like ALEKS is not going to get recertify, so all those that want to get them classes done, please do complete take advantage of the spreadsheet.
Attached is my spreadsheet. I hope you can complete all 3 statistics classes with it.
Steps:
0. Each of the tabs match each topic/subtopic.
1. to search do Control F, options, within Workbook.
2. type in the sentence, verify the questions matched, more than likely the numbers will not.
3. Go to the page/tab for you finding. input the number in RED. DO NOT touch the black.
4. Sections that asked you to populate 'z' or 't' IN ALEKS, you have to calculate them in Aleks, then go back and add the result in the spreadsheet.
3 sections I had a hard time with was Hypothesis, acceptance sampling (I did it, but I can't remember how), I can't remember the other.

The file was too big to be viewed online and attached as one document. I've broken it down in two separate docs. you'll need to combine the file into 1.
I will be on Google Hangout if you need to reach me. Send me an invite. moorehome1@gmail.com
Hypothesis is infuriating until you "get it". It actually becomes a cake walk after that but I thought I'd destroy my computer at first.

Seems unethical to me! The other issue is that those who have used ALEKS without a cheat sheet have their achievement diminished by the google search engine displaying ways to make your exam easier. It affects us all as it also ties into ACE certification.
Don't forget that gaining college credit by taking exams is one of the reason's we're here. That's mainly possible through the flashcards made available by the owner of this forum : InstantCert Plus of course your hard work in learning and reviewing

I don't even know how to utilize the thing that was posted.
But really... has anyone here gone into ALEKS with no prior math and completed it without using anything but ALEKS?
ALEKS is terrible at explaining things... I've had to google nearly ever term I've learned so far.
Between online calculators and Khan academy I already feel like I'm "cheating" in a way.
Maybe I'm just oblivious to how much of a help that thing would be? but I really don't think anyone here would intentionally avoid utilizing a resource that made ALEKS easier.
I'm not smart enough to figure out how to cheat, lol, so I deserve to fail.
Seriously though... my inability to get a single ALEKS course done before it expires (forever?) is really killing my self esteem...lol

Thanks to everyone who provides such awesome information on this site, I'm slowly getting the hang of this crazy process.
I think it is perfectly fine to use other resources as far as explanations go, but a worksheet to does practically the whole problem seems kind of unfair. There was only a few terms/explanations i needed further help with so i googled them looking for alternative explantions. Actually doing the problem their way and writing it all out helps you learn the material, i wouldn't learn much if i just punched in numbers not knowing how the process works or what i am actually answering.
I doubt anyone will be jumping into Statistics with no prior math knowledge/experience. Which is why Aleks has such a broad selection of courses so you can work your way up.

Yeah, I have no math background. I've actually learned a ton but there just seems to be a neverending list of terms I have to memorize.
I called ALEKS to see if they had any new information about getting ACE back, but all she could say is the same old thing... they're working on it... they will get it back. When I asked for a ballpark she said "no later than april of next year"... but it sounded like she pulled that out of her butt.

Well, its a risk to jump into Stats with no prior math, but the thing with Aleks is, it explains math the same way to someone with no background as it does to someone who could be majoring in math. It could be possible for you to understand the material, but it all depends on your learning style.
I was lucky enough to have taken Algerba/Trig/Pre-Calc/Ap Stats (1/2 semester then dropped it hah) in high school , so even though it was 5 years ago and i really dont remember it. When Aleks started explaining Sigma, Standard Deviation, Intervals, Mean/Med/Mode, and Sample sizes. It brought back some prior knowledge and helped me grasp it quicker.
4 Days ago i was looking into alternatives for completing Stats, so with only a day left, i'd recommend you do the same unless you want to wait till Aleks recerts, IF they do. Or do what i did and spend 10 hrs a day on it till you go crazy, I'm nuts though.
Best of luck to you!
