Giving my first college lecture today....
#1
Giving my first college lecture today to a class at the local CC. Just a one time thing, but I'm looking forward to it.

Going over the hospital's response to Ebola. Plan to lecture for a bit then let the students dress out in full Ebola PPE. Should be fun!
MBA, Western Governors University February 2014
BS Charter Oak State College November 2011
AS in EMS August 2010

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

you could bring in a test tube "sample" of the virus and "accidently" drop it. Now, THAT'S funny Wink

Hope you enjoy lecturing. As someone who wore MOPP 4 during military training, gotta say that full Ebola PPE doesn't sound like much fun.

I feel for you. When my hospital system developed our response plan i was the only one on the team that had any real world experience with the equipment so I became the ad hoc expert and guinea pig.

Had a blast teaching the program to a receptive group of students. I can imagine a part or full time job teaching...so long as it was the right subject of course.

Woah really? That's awesome, sounds like a great class. I was a nurse over in Liberia during the outbreak, if you ever want any more first hand info or anything. I would love to help.

MOPP 4 is worse than Ebola PPE.

Nope, We are separate factions.

It can be, but it depends on the environment. I wore full mop gear in the Oklahoma summer for an hour or two during Basic, and it's not as bad as a Tychem suit in Liberia. In MOPP gear you can adjust your mask if need be, wipe shit off your mask, and drink water out of your canteen.

In Ebola PPE, you can not under any circumstance touch your goggles, or mask, You can't drink anything, and your goggles start to fog up after a few minutes. if need any type of adjustment you have to leave the hot zone and go through the 10 minute or so decon
I had my Leather apron come untied in the back once, and instead of tying it myself, or having another nurse do it. I had to leave the hot zone, go through decon, and re suit up to go back in.

Here's a video of me doffing my gear for the last time in the bong ETU.
