Non Proctored Online College Courses
#1
Due to where I live, I can't take an online course with a proctor. I was wondering if anyone knew of an accredited college where I could take one or more of the following courses:

General Biology I & II
General Chemistry I & II
Calculus II

Thanks for the help!

Hmm, just a few quick questions...
What's the issue with proctored exams such as using ProctorU?
Where are you? How far are you from a testing center or community college?
How much are you wanting to spend on each course, you got a budget?
Have you thought of going back to your state college for those courses as a last resort?
Lastly, how can you take online courses without being online?

From OP's post I believe he means he can't do online courses that require a physical proctor and that he's not aware of an online proctoring service like ProctorU.

@OP:

I don't know of an accredited college off the top of my head, but Straighterline has ACE-accredited courses which you may be able to transfer in to another college: Chemistry I, Intro to Bio, and Calculus II (Online College Courses For Credits Towards Your Degree | StraighterLine) and your finals are all proctored online with ProctorU (Real People. Real Proctoring. - Online Proctoring - ProctorU).

It's unclear whether you're saying you can't take online courses, you can't take online proctored exams, or both. Please clarify, and maybe we can help.

I'm taking a math course at APU/AMU right now. There is no proctoring requirement for it. They also offer Calc II (using Thinkwell) and there's no mention of a proctoring requirement in the sample syllabus. Might be worth a look for the other courses, too.

I'll second the AMU suggestion. They were great for me, and I intend to go back through them to retake a certain course that seems to be the bane of my existence (nothing to do with AMU, just seems like my life ends up in a fast-moving hand-basket both times I took it...).

Sorry, I can take online courses just ones that don't require a proctor.

The closet proctor is 1hr away and I had never heard of ProctorU, so that's good to know about.
My budget is around $1500 at the most for a course.
Unfortunately my university doesn't offer these courses over the summer.
Finally, I didn't mean to cause confusion but I can take an online course I just don't have easy access to a proctor.

Sorry for the ignorant question but by AMU do you mean American Military University or am I mistaken?

Yes, American Public University/American Military University.

I didn't do a good job of pointing it out, but "Calc II" in my first post is a link to their course offerings.
