Signed up for Mgmt 311 at CSU Pueblo today.
I did it over the phone with a credit card (pretty easy) but ask to do so or they will just mail the registration forms and you have to mail it back.

Good luck with that P/OM class.
The people in this thread who have taken the class seem to be happy with their decision. I know that I was happy with it.
It takes about a month on average to complete it. I felt that I learned a lot during that month and the material was interesting. The professor was very quick to provide feedback in my case.
I hope that you find it satisfying and I am sure that we are all anxious to hear feedback from you about it.

For those of you who are in this class how long before your syllabus was emailed to you so you could order your books, I signed up for this class over the phone yesterday and was wondering how long before I got the syllabus to order my books?

Thank you very much, this way I can get my books ordered. Are you actively taking this class now or have you finished it?
The book is $150 books on Barnes & Noble new where did you get yours from, is it cheaper through the school?

I am currently taking the class. You have 6 months to complete it. I had some things come up at work that have taken priority and have slowed my pace down considerably.
I think I purchased the book from half.com. I know it was from someone for about $70. The seller stated it had som marks on it. Then before I recieved the book she said her mom had spilled something on it and marked it all up and gave me 20 or 30 bucks off. I got the book and it looked brand new and I could not tell that anything had spilled on it. There was no smell from it either. I felt lucky that I got a good deal. Make sure you get the cd with yours. I have found it useful. Good luck.
You can also search for books using
AddALL book search and price comparison and it will search all the bigger sites.

Can anyone who has taken the course let me know if the book you got worked for your studies and passing the course assuming you used the isbn from the syllabus?
TEXT: Operations Management, 8th ed., Jay Heizer and Barry Render, Prentice-Hall, 2006. ISBN 0131554441.
This ISBN is for the 2005 7th edition book. The isbn for the 2006 book is actually 0132209292. If you got the 7th edition book, did it work ok for you?
I ordered using the ISBN from the syllabus and got the 7th edition book. I don't won't to have to go the route of returning and waiting on a refund so I can order the 8th edition unless I need to.
Thanks for your input.

This is the isbn in the syllabus I was sent
Operations Management, 8th ed., Jay Heizer and Barry Render, Prentice-Hall, 2006. ISBN 0131554441 which I ordered and got the 8th edition although the date was 2005. I haven't had any issues yet.
I am enjoying this class and have gotten all points on the AEs I have turned in (Ae 1 - AE 8) and on the first exam. Hopefully you enjoy the class as well.
