I asked Excelsior if they accepted CSU CBE credits and this was their response "In order for the exams to be transferable they need
to be ACE evaluated like Excelsior exams. Excelsior College will accept
approved training courses and programs that have been reviewed by the
American Council on Education (ACE) and recommended for college level
credit. To find out if any of the training programs you have taken have
been ACE recommended for credit, please contact ACE directly at (202)
939-9300. ACE is located in Washington D.C.
The CSU-Global website does not mention ACE at all and states that the
credits are not guaranteed to transfer. ACE recommended credit is the
industry standard so I would think they would go out or their way to
mention it, but you would want to check with them about it".
Does anyone know if CSU CBE exams are ACE approved?

No, they are neither ACE nor NCCRS-approved. So, it looks like TESC is the only one that will accept these, for now.

Sanatone, was the practice exam identical or very similar to the actual CBE exam?

Sanantone, I am going through the process right now of signing my husband up for 2 CBE's (Cloud Computing and Sys Analysis & Design). So far, he is "enrolled" and just got the info for the online portal.
I looked at the booklist, and the 2 books for the courses have terrible reviews on Amazon. Can you tell me if you purchased/rented the book for your course, or if the info they gave you was enough to pass the exam? And if they gave a course outline (maybe similar to the TECEP), which gave a clear breakdown of what's covered on the exam? Any other information would be really helpful.
Thanks!

how did you end up fixing this situation? CSU says they cannot amend the transcript. Here we are 6 months after your original problem having the same problem. The lady at CSU told me that they could write a note inside my official transcript that says the date. the want me to snail mail them the information request. its a huge bureaucratic PITA! I applied for december graduation and stupidly thought this would all work out and now i get to be extra anxious because I'm down to the wire.
End goal is to get a cheap bachelor degree {CIS} that transfers to online master's degree at ncsu. I'm thinking statistics because less prerequisites. Vs computer science.
Started in January 2016 after NC prevented enrollment in WGU.
Clep, Dsst: Statistics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, World religions, Intro to Computers, American Government, Sociology, Fundamentals of Cybersecurity, Prin finance.
Straighterline: C++, Intro Comm, Accounting 1, Accounting 2, Business law, Managerial Acct, Business ethics, Into business, Organizational behavior,
CSU Global: Basic programming COS-208, Systems Analysis and Design.
TECEP: Network Technology, Strategic Management, business in society.
Saylor: Bus210 for Bus311 credit
denied enrollment to WGU October 2015 b/c NC sucks.
Prep for WGU: A+, NET+, Project+, Security+, CCENT, OCA java.

The transcript won't be amended. CSU Global needs to email TESU something with a completion date for your CBEs. It doesn't take long. I was able to request this by email.

My CSU Global transcript didn't have the completion dates, but I still had my credits accepted and transferred successfully to TESU.
