Any recent experiences with Propero

Has anyone had any recent experiences with Propero? I'm looking into alternative options for Macroeconomics (instead of CLEP or SL) and Managerial Accounting (instead of SL). It looks like most initial experiences were bad, but I don't see any posts from the last 3-6 months about it.

I just started a course with Propero. I had never used it before but they have many options for CJ so I decided to give it a try. I did read a few negative reviews but there does not seem to be too much information about it. I did have trouble when the course was first set up but Propero fixed it. I have to use google chrome instead of internet explorer. The course includes an e-book, gives practice quizzes, written presentations and audio files to learn the material. I haven't taken any quizzes or exams yet, just got started with the course.

Thanks. I have about a month before I have to decide. Figured I would knock out the next three exams I was going to use for residency and then figure it out. maybe the Straighterline dates on the ACE site will be updated before then.

I was doing good with Propero for a couple days, completed one quiz but then my course was deleted. I am back to having problems with the course. All Pearson can tell me is that it is a problem on their end and I've been waiting a week for them to figure it out. Their solution is to buy the book and do the quizzes and tests. I like the format, if I could actually access the material. I've never used SL but it is probably similar. The book costs $20 to rent so I will probably rent the book so I can finish the course, hopefully that will work. I'm hoping the problem gets resolved because there are a few other courses that look interesting.

I finished my first course with Propero, just waiting for it to be added to my ACE transcript. I submitted the request through ACE but Propero said it could take a few days to confirm. They seem to have resolved the earlier problems, something to do with the Propero course. I had never used Propero before so I wasn't sure how it worked. Trying to get tech support was difficult. It wasn't really clear who to contact. I guess I had the same problems as others who used Propero. I finally contacted my success coach who was able to look into the problem and resolve it. I liked the format. They include an e-text book but I could only open it on my computer, was having trouble accessing it on my tablet. The rest of the course (quizzes, tests, presentation/note slides) I could access from my computer and tablet. I was having trouble with IE so I used Google Chrome. I did Victimology and it had 12 lessons and a final exam. Each lesson had a practice quiz, not graded but had to be completed in order to complete the graded quiz. Each practice quiz and graded quiz could be completed up to 5 times. If it was retaken the previous grade would be deleted and the new grade would be saved. There were 4 tests, each test covered 3 lessons that could be retaken up to 5 times. The final exam covered all lessons and could only be taken once. It was not proctored. The quizzes, tests and final exam were all timed. I liked the format. It's more expensive then other options but has a good variety of CJ courses that are not easily available in a self paced format. Propero gives up to 16 weeks to complete the course. I finished in a little over a week but was working on it steadily. It looks like there are many courses that satisfy the new requirements for BA CJ at TESC. I'm enrolled under the 2015 catalog so I am doing CJ electives, taking a few that sound interesting. I might do criminology next.
